Sodium and sugar two things that i really had to work on.
I'm normally under 2500 mg of sodium daily but sugars :grumble:
Okay so i love to eat fresh fruit,my intake for refined sugar is minimal and sometimes i don't take white sugar at all.All of my sugar comes from either milk or fruit and since i love eating fruit my sugar intake goes beyond 30.
I was wondering, is it good or bad?
I should cut on all my seasonal fruits? .

When you say you're going above 30, do you mean 30g per day, according to logging on MFP?? If so, 30g is very low.
I did 2 weeks of no sugar at all which included cutting out all fruit (one of the stupid things I tried to shift the last 5kg before finding EM2WL) and even then I was getting around 30-40g per day just from veggies, yoghurt, etc.
The recommendation, from what I've read, is for adults to not have more than 24g of ADDED sugar per day, but around 90g of sugar in total from fruit, honey, dairy, etc. I don't know why the default setting on here is so low coz it's just not realistic. I changed mine to 90g and even on days that I have a piece of dark chocolate or some honey in my tea, I rarely go over
Obviously you don't want to be shoving chocolates and lollies down your throat just because it fits in your calories, but if you're eating mostly clean, healthy and natural foods with a little treat or something here and there, I wouldn't be overly fussed about it. As long as you're not getting like 150g per day!!0 -
On most days, my sugar is well over 100.(I know, seems like ALOT) but I eat a lot of fruits and the occasional treats. This, in no way, has affected my weight loss. Still loosing so it doesn't bother me.0

I don't count natural sugars (fruit and veggies)0

No way would I cut my fruits! If the sugar you're eating only comes from fruit, I wouldn't worry about going WAY over the limits of MFP. I avoid refined sugar and eat small amounts of honey and/or maple syrup for sweetener, but I eat all the fruit I want.0

Yep, I totally feel you. I cut fruit stupidly coz I'd heard of people saying that ANY sugar (natural or refined) affects how our bodies hold on to fat. I lasted maybe 2 weeks and will never do it again. Like I said, it was one of those stupid things we all try (no carbs, only green veggies, super low cal, no fats, etc) before finding a logical method to our madness0
