Questions about your C25K apps

Which C25K app are you using and how many wks is it? I used RunDouble the first time and it was 9 wks. It started you off at 30 seconds. I see a few ppl using diff apps that start off w 60 seconds and/or are only 8 wks. Also, please let me know if you can add a manual run to your app or if there are any issues w it, like GPS, music interruptions. I'm thinking of switching apps, but am a little hesitant to do so. I kind of of feel a sense of loyalty to RunDouble since their app got me here and I got it for free.

Hi! I just did W1 D1 with the app "5k Runner". It's 8 weeks and starts out with 60 second run intervals. It's the only one I've ever used, but I like it just fine. It works with my music, I can choose voice or beep cues. It doesn't have GPS, but it says that it wont interfere if you use another GPS app like Nike+.
I can't remember if it was a free or paid app :embarassed: because I put it on my phone a year ago and I'm just now getting around to starting...

I use RunDouble - its 9 weeks but it starts of with 60sec running, not 30, GPS can be turned on/off depending, can manually enter my runs for when I'm on a treadmill and also listen to my music along with it, it just does a voice over the music to let me know intervals.

I quite like the APP and I'm going to use its Five to 10K programme after I finish C25K

I use Zenlabs. its free as well. I really like it. Its recently upgraded to add vibration so you can turn the sound off and just feel the buzz when its time to switch to run or walk. I like that because I wear my phone in a waist pouch and don't like having it so loud that everyone hears the voice telling me to run/walk. You can't add a run, that I know of, and you start out with 60 sec runs. It also syncs with MFP which is cool..

I used 5k runner. I think it cost £1.50. I liked it because it worked with both Nike + and my own music and it increased all distances gradually rather than doing that 20 minute run that some apps do in about week 5 or 6. Also, the voice was very clear about when you had to stop and start and it told you when you had reached the halfway point.
