Keto adaptation and coming in and out of keto

So I had a bad day last week and knocked myself out of keto for the first time in a few months. I was keto adapted. I believe I am back in keto now from the thirst I am displaying but the strips say negative. If I was keto adapted and out of keto for a 24-48 hours would I still be keto adapted and it just is not showing because of adaptation or really not back in keto?

Not sure if you go straight back into a keto-adapted state, but strips will show negative until you've dumped most of the water weight you picked up. For me, that usually took 24-36 more hours beyond when the other signs of ketosis were noticeable.0

I expect that since you where only out of keto a short time your body probably didn't get much chance to un adapt? so would think it must be easier to go back to fat burning mode.0

I'm fairly new as only been doing this 2 months, but I knocked myself out last week and agree with the above. About 2 days after my cheat day I felt all the indicators I was back in ketosis, but the scale wasn't dumping the water weight I had gained. Today, about three days after indicators, I dumped a whole bunch of pounds.
Maybe I am silly, but I really haven't used the strips since my first week because I can feel it so much that I don't feel I need them. I've never felt so connected to my body before, lol!0
