Well, i just joined your group about 2 minutes ago and have been doing low carb for a whopping 7 days. Actually, 6 1/2 days, but I'm starting to struggle so I though it might be a good idea to join an active group for motivation.
Last week Thursday i started at 172. And I've been that stinkin' weight for about 3 months.
Today I am at 163.
I noticed that by the second day i was in ketosis as my urine (too much information?) smelled like fingernail polish remover, I had the worst cotton mouth of my (adult) life and by the 4th day, I just didn't want to eat at all. Kind of nauseous and headachy.
Then I upped my fat like I had seen suggested online and i was off and running again. Suddenly I didn't have to drag myself through a 9 hour shift. i feel much more energized. But I am having a hard time re-thinking my boneless, skinless chicken breasts and getting into leftover roast with butter on top. It kind of goes against everything you THINK you know.
Anyhow, 1 more week of induction and I can finally add on a few carbs slowly and see where my balance is. Too be honest, I'm not going to slowly add on veggies, I've already purchased my low carb tortillas and I'm making myself a homemade pizza. It's my reward. A 10 CARB MEAL. I can hardly wait! Congrats on your loss so far! It is a little difficult to change your thoughts on some things. I still have moments where I have to remind myself that I can have something I used to avoid.0

You weren't alone with Thanksgiving. I think there were a couple of us. If you look at your numbers you can tell it was mainly water weight and now you're right back on track0 -

Well, i started on December 1st and I'm 9 pounds down. I'm considering every pound a victory since it's the worst time to lose weight and sell a house. Actually, I think it would be easier to sell a house!
Still, though, even with a set back of a surgery and a wedding, I'm still averaging a 3 pound loss a week. heck yeah. Let's count this as winning!0
