I am very new to lifting, started two weeks ago and am lifting two times per week with low intensity cardio workouts on my off days. I also do a boot camp class one time per week.
I know it's probably normal to gain a little at first, but is 4 pounds normal?? It makes me think that I am eating too much..?
Just wanted to see if anyone else had this happen and if I should be adjusting my calorie intake. I increased it slightly when I started lifting.
Thanks

Your diary isn't open so it's hard to say. My guess is that it's probably water weight from lifting though. A lot of people retain water when they begin a new exercise routine.0

4lbs sounds normal to me. I gained 6lbs but lost a few inches all within the same time span. My body is getting tighter (losing the fat) and my clothes are definitely looser, but my weight on the scale seems to remain the same...give or take a few pounds.0

Take the scales and toss them away. What you are doing is VERY normal, Judge yourself on how well your clothing fits.0
