A fresh start each moment! Yay!
Learning to become more mindful THIS moment. And this one. And this one. And . . .

I have logged my food and drink. I was surprised at the mindless calories I ingest.0

I totally relate! This logging exercise is awesome for getting more present with our own lives and bodies, savoring who we are this very moment.

Congratulations on logging your food and exercise in your diaries, Lisamac!
What do you think of sending some words of encouragement to at least one other member of this group before Christmas?
Cherish yourself, and this moment! The present moment is everything.0 -

A perfect example of this for me was the couple of sweets I took from the tin at work yesterday - I remember unwrapping and eating the first one then looked around for the other one. I thought one of my colleagues had hidden it when I was on the phone but there were two wrappers in the bin - I had scoffed it while my mind was otherwise engaged!"Anyone who has ever made a resolution discovers that the strength of their determination fades with time. This was the hardest lesson for me to learn - I no longer make New Year resolutions because they were always unrealistic. I have long term goals but I don't give myself a time frame and I know they are attainable that way.

Truthfully logged all food and drink? Yes - over for the day though, as we had wine and garlic bread to get us through the card writing marathon!
Logged at least 20 minutes of exercise? Yes, Leslie Sansone DVD again - I must get back on the treadmill at the weekend!0 -

Thank you, LazySpice, for your thoughtful feedback to people's posts. I just learned today how to use that "quote" button.
I appreciate reading your musings and reflections about New Year's resolutions and goal setting. It sounds gentle and loving. Mindful! ")0
