Teacher Wondering About Exercise with Changing Schedule

For those who have maintained awhile, what do you do differently when your daily routine must change? I teach and in a few weeks my schedule becomes super busy. I've maintained since April but I've also had more time to exercise this summer. When I get home from work I'm spent. I tend to be more of a weekend warrior. Is that such a bad thing? Have you had to cut back on calories?

Since my exercise schedule varies due to work travel, I use the sedentary setting and eat back all of my exercise calories. On the weeks where I am out and cannot get in as good of a work out, I'll eat less.0

I found as a Mom of a teenager returning to school at the end of summer, the gym I had joined at the beginning of summer was no longer practical. I really must workout in the morning, but I also must be home to get my kid out the door, & I must be to work on time. So the extra travel time to/from the gym just no longer fit my schedule. It was a nice break from the routine while it lasted, but back to real life. You will find a way to make time for your highest priorities regardless of barriers. Once I allowed my own fitness & how I feel to become priorities, I find I dont mind getting up a little early to fit it into my day. Hope your school year has been going well0

My latest strategy is to make my daily goal my maintenance calories minus 200-250.
That way when something comes up and I have to make a less than ideal choice I've got ~1400 calories to play with over the course of the week.
Let's face it life is messy and we can't be perfect all the time (and who wants to be??)
I AM going to stress eat... I don't want to pass up last minute invitations... I'm going to end up grabbing a hot dog at the train station on nights I work late.... it happens...2
