Thanks for the kind words.
I am pretty happy with how things have been going. I have completed about 5 cycles and although the weight progression has been slow for me (probably from cutting), my lifting form has improved greatly.
This has been my first experience with barbells and I am definitely hooked on it now, so much so that I am planning on upgrading my equipment to some decent stuff in the near future.0 -

WOW!!!! crikey that's amazing progress!!!!! well bloody done you! :flowerforyou:
Here goes - updated pics! I finally lost a little more weight, and inches, and feel like these pictures show a bit more progress. My back fat rolls are almost gone - woo-hoo!
And for anyone thinking they are too old or out of shape to start something new like lifting weights, the last pictures were taken on my 52nd birthday, and earlier this year I couldn't even do one bodyweight squat.
I started cycle 5 today. I'm doing much better with my intake these days, so I'm looking forward to seeing what another cycle does!

WOW! It looks like you've lost a TON around your hips/midsection...amazing progress!0

You look amazing! Good work!0

Massive difference there Penny. It never ceases to amaze me how much difference weight lifting makes to a persons physique.
You probably could have lost more weight doing just cardio (like a lot of people do) but you wouldn't look anywhere near as good as you do now.
edit:Good progress! :drinker:0 -

First pic is at 220 lbs a few days before I started my first Cycle of Allpro's
3 months later mid 3rd cycle at 199 lbs
Stalled in my 4th Cycle due to lower back issues. Just getting back into it, but without squats & sldls until my back heals. My god I miss squats
ETA - how do you make these photobucket images work here?0 -

FIFY You have to retype the uppercase IMG tags to lowercase (img)
ETA: oh noooo, you moved them!0 -
No I didn't move them, and had actually tried the lower case img and got the same thing? Dunno...mebbe my photobucket is fubar or something.0

After only 3 months - that is amazing! Again, great progress, really able to see a lot of definition. Gotta love what lifting does.0
-
Wow, congrats!!! Nice definition of the arms going on there, and nice flat tum with a great taper. Fantastic progress!0
-
Pretty good results for only 3 months Terrance. Hopefully your back gets better and the next 3 months are as successful.0

Wow, great progress! :happy:0

I'm long overdue for more recent progress pictures. As some of you may know, I started my first bulk in September. The pictures below show the start of the bulk vs 16 weeks and 4.3 kg later:

Looks like you had great results - you don't look like you have gained weight, and your thighs look more muscular as well as your butt looks more lifted. You can still see a lot of definition in your upper back and arms. Are you done bulking and in the cutting phase now?0 -
Thank you! I must admit that I have trouble to see a difference between the 2 pictures. But since I have gained over 4 kg I guess I'm doing something good... That much weight in fat would certainly have showed somewhere, wouldn't it?
I'm not done yet either, going to bulk on for another 10 weeks! :happy:0 -
Yeah I agree, it looks like it's working for you because you are averaging around 250g of weight gain per week which is meant to be pretty optimal to help minimise the fat gains. Also to me when looking at those pics there doesn't seem to be that much difference in BF% for a 4.3kg gain.
It will be interesting to see what type of results you get when it comes time to do another cut. Till then I say just enjoy eating above maintenance and getting stronger.0
