weight loss

Hello, I thought that I would check in. I'm new to message boards/groups, learning the ropes  I'm really having a hard time losing this weight, yet again:grumble: I have lost close to 100 pounds on my own after being diagnosed with severe degenerative osteoarthritis at the age of 36, and dealing with thyroid nodules. I finally had to have a total thyroidectomy a few years after my 4th child was born. I gained back the weight that I lost after having my last child, then after TT I couldn't seem to get hormone regulated for almost a year. Now I can't seem to get this weight off, help!!!

I'm in a similar situation. Lost lots of weight with Graves disease, but then my thyroid burned out and now I am hypo and gained all that weight back. I am taking Synthroid and Cytomel and my doctor says my levels look "GREAT!," but I'm having a horrible time losing weight. I'm just adjusting calories and doing little self experiments to find what will work. After reading others success stories, I am inspired that it CAN happen. May just take some playing around and PATIENCE.

    Good luck!

I think I'm going to start an "inspiration" thread where others can post their success stories to give people like you and me hope that we can do it too!

I lost 20 lbs. last year. I have Hashi's and take 88mcg Synthroid.

So if you find you're losing really, really slowly, do not give up!
