Sigh... Going to weigh again on Friday and aiming for a greater than 1lb loss for January!

    I just started MFP on 1-21, so late start on this challenge. I have lost 7 pounds this first week out and while I know it is part water weight, it is a great confidence booster. I look forward to the rest of the challenge.

    Great job everyone! keep up all the hard work!! I had a gain this week, I'm not surprised. I went out to eat a couple times this week and I did not track at all this weekend due to no internet. but no internet does not mean I can't be more careful with my choices. I can't let my hard work of the week be outweighed by poor weekend decisions. I will try harder next weekend and hope for a better weigh in for the beginning of Feb

    Well I went the wrong direction this week--first time since August 1st that I've gained weight. I'm not sure but I think I may be in one of those adjustment phases. I am working out like crazy, my calories are near my goal (I am logging a net deficit but I am assuming I am making some measurement errors and not logging a nibble here and there). Hopefully I will break the plateau and February will be better.

    Looks like others are doing very well, Mommahix is sitting on her victory throne looking down at us with pity as we fools crawl and scratch our way to a normal BMI. I suspect you will have company in February, there are others coming along quickly.

    Had some setbacks and with how cold it's been it's not helping me control my eating any... we shall see how the next couple weeks go. hoping for a warm up. Also will be starting T25 today and will be getting Zumba Incredible Results in the next few weeks. Hoping to see at least 128 by April but more importantly would like to see my body fat % go to 21 % (currently around 22.9-23).

    I believe I see a more defined jaw line. I'd say you look like a million pounds but that sounds wrong, I'll say you look like a million Euros.

    Definitely slow going for me this month...trying to break the mindless splurging habits that I adopted in December. I was so close to my goal back in November where I was at a sweet 142 lbs. December splurging set me back by 10 lbs. Pretty painful, I must admit. But I know that accountability works... so here I am.

    While pre-logging my food definitely helped my daytime meal plans because I would eat what I bring to work. But my downfall was and always have been my nighttime eating. I never would go back to MFP to account for eating outside of my plan. But these days, knowing that I have to go to that spreadsheet on Mondays and log gains/losses, I have definitely upped my commitment to stick to what I logged in for the evenings. Bonus part of this for me is that I don't get to skip weigh-ins when I know I've been less than faithful.

    I see some really great victories being won on here (you go Mommahix !!!:flowerforyou: ) and you all are definitely an inspiration!! You've all inspired me to re-commit to the lifestyle that I know that I don't want to give up on!! Thanks for reading!!

    January weight loss: 8 lbs.

    I had a loss of 3 lbs this week coming off a week of no change. Four weeks into the challenge I'm averaging -2/week. I've decided to make my goal a little more challenging, lowering the goal by 3 lbs, so my new goal is 250 lbs.

I tried on a bridesmaid dress yesterday and fit very nicely in a size 6...for me that is awesome...the last bridesmaid dress I wore was a 16....

    Go, momma, go!!! Great job everyone!!! I've read a lot of honesty today. I, too, succumbed to the call from the kitchen. I baked a huge batch of cookies and made 2 batches of baked apple chips. The apple chips are at least healthy, except for the amount of them I ate!!! :laugh: Need to up my motivation and curb my eating. Thankfully I wasn't up this morning!!!

    I weigh every day and then record my lowest of the week. For this past week, the lowest was actually way back on Tuesday, and it's been higher since then. I need to tighten up on my logging. I weigh and measure some things, but not all and I've been eating too much junk the past few days. I'm hoping for 4 full pounds in February!!

    I weigh every day - in the morning so it is my low weight for the day - and then record the highest for the week on mfp.

    This week was crazy schedules and my husband's birthday and my dad's birthday. I suspect that my gain is water retention rather than true weight gain. But it is still annoying! :grumble:
