    My dad is still in SICU as they wait for the swelling to go down so they can close his chest back up. He is on standby for surgery today to close his chest assuming his physician approves the surgery. It was looking hopeful yesterday as they were able to get him off of at least three medications that I know of.

    The hospital is across the street from my university so I walked over during lunch yesterday to see him. However, this means I seriously underguessed my food. All the walking with my bookbag, purse, and lunch bag caused me to walk more steps by dinner than I often do in a whole day. By 6 pm I felt sick and ate a bar I found in my bag (which was god knows how old). We did dinner out because feeding me was the priority -- I felt better and walked 4 miles when I got home as "stress therapy".

    I really messed up at dinner tonight! My hubby talked me into going to a Chinese Buffet! BIG MISTAKE!! I definitely won't be doing that again anytime soon. My sodium was way, way over! My calories at dinner was a crazy amount, but thanks to my walking and Chevy I managed to stay Green.

    Quarter of the way through this month already! Made it to Group Power despite both my sig other and my daughter backing out of going with me. It would have been easy to also not go, but I went and it was such a good class. Increased weight for all muscle groups.

    Almost went Red in beer calories, then (after midnight) went through the drive through for some mozzarella sticks. Got up and went to Zumba this morning, so feeling good about that. Thankfully this challenge helps me keep my socializing in check in terms of calories. It's so hard to have that balance.

    With only 5 more pounds to go, I bet you could afford to increase your calorie goal beyond 1200 calories.

    I thought I would be over when Hubby took me to a BBQ place for lunch, but I ordered a chicken platter instead of pork and gave him half of both of my sides since he hadn't eaten any breakfast. The chicken kept me in the green and it was really quite good. I think I like it better than the pork. :bigsmile:

    Lifted weights early in the day. Helped me to get a jump on my steps (which tend to be really bad when I am in "weekend mode").

    @MelissaPhipps--excellent planning around your BBQ meal! Glad you got to enjoy and stay green!

    Found a place to live near Dallas today!! It seems like a nice area and has a good standing with the local police and sheriff department. Moving next Thursday, so it is bound to be quite frenzied here!!!

    I tried the MFP app on my pnone, but couldn't figure out how to add more than 1 item at a meal. I am so 'smart phone illiterate!!!' The phone is honestly much smarter than I am!!!! lol
