  • February Goal 20 Miles

    Feb. 10th - 2 miles (1 morning / 1 evening - 3 Mile Super Walk DVD)

    Feb. 11th - 2 miles (First 2 miles of 3 Mile Super Walk DVD)

    37 min. walk outside today, I fig thats about 2 miles?

    barneygirl , how far you would walk depends on how fast you are walking outside. Which would depend on the terrain or your physical condition/ age etc, and even the weather. You surely can estimate your mileage or measure it. Whichever works best for you.

    One way I found out how far I was walking was to drive around the route I normally walked and noted the distance. I have done this for my regular "shorter" and "longer walks".

    Another way I discovered was to use an online tracking map of my walks.

    I did google searches using phrases such as "map my run or jog" or "track my run/ jog" for example. You can find a number of on line websites that you can actually plot out a walk either before or after and see the distance walked. Check out which one seems to be the best for you to use. I played around with several till I found one that I liked.
    Safety note: I always made my start and end points not at my home or street, but in an area that was on my route on the main road and did not include my own street as I already know that distance to the main road. And I made my routes private/ not shared.

    I'm sorry I missed your question at the end of January's challenge till today.

    Also there are mobile phone apps that track if you have a phone that uses them.

    My goal is 80 miles in February. Hopefully i will get more than that, we will see! #letsgo

    February 1-5 miles 5 mega miles
    February 2-7 miles 5 mega miles (4 in the morning and 3 in the evening)
    February 3-4 miles 4 fast miles
    February 4-7 miles 4 fast miles and 3 mega miles
    February 5-4 miles 4 fast miles

    February 8-(I did a lot of walking while running errands i only calculated the time not the mileage)

    February 12-no miles, (i was snowed/iced in and sick : [ )
    February 13-4 miles 4 fast miles (I wasn't 100% but i didn't want to miss another day)

    So far this February I've done the 3 Mile Super Fat blaster every weekday for two weeks! Woot! 30 miles down! I think I did a couple of 2 Miles on the weekends, as well, so maybe 32-34 miles.

    14th Feb walked 3.55 miles

  • I am a little late to the party. I just recently discovered Leslie sansone as I had a knee issue that was limiting the cardio I could do. Since I only have 2 weeks left in February, I will aim for 30 miles.

    Today I did Burn 30. I estimate it to be 2 miles because of the fast pace and the fact other 2 mile videos are around 30 minutes.
