First year check up

Yesterday I had my first year check up controlling my T2D with nutrition and exercise. Eating low carb has become a life style change but I was scared to death that I might not have been as careful as I should have. Well my a1c came in at 5.3, my best reading since being diagnosed in 2012. I am so relieved, it has really showed me that I can do this AND during this year I have also maintained my weight-loss, a second huge accomplishment. I would love to loose a few more pounds but maintenance made my doctor very happy and that can't help but make me feel great.
