    I just today added another!

    1992 Bridgestone RB-T touring bike
1993 Trek 970 Mountain Track (bought today)
1995 Trek 830 Mountain Track (probably going to be sold or saved for daughter's campus bike)
1997 KHS Summit-X mountain bike converted into an Xtracycle
50+ year old unicycle (as seen in my profile)

    Slo

How do you do that! I never could ride a unicycle.

How do you do that! I never could ride a unicycle.

I learned as a kid and just never forgot. The method I learned was to put the tire against a curb with the dominant pedal back toward you. Then just stepping up on the pedal keeps the tire against the curb, and you pivot up into the saddle. Continuing that momentum makes you lean a bit forward, and you just pedal to keep the wheel underneath you. It seems impossible at first, but each attempt you get closer and closer until it just works. Eventually you'll be able to mount on level ground.

If you've got one to experiment with, give it a try. You'll drop it hundreds of times, but kept at it.

So the household number has risen from 5 to 7 fairly recently - but one is for sale and one is in pieces so that's better, right? :)

Also a firm believer in N+1

I have 7 and I'm dreaming about #8 right now, and if you count my spin bike 8 and I'm dreaming about #9 right now.

    Trek Road
2 Raleigh MTBs (one old, one new)
    Raleigh Tandem
    Melon fold
Touring bike that I built (my current favorite)
Old Sears beater (use it at the beach)
    Lemond RevMaster spin bike

I'm examining the possibility of a long tail bike.

When asked how many, I always said "more than I need, but less than I want". With this last one, I think that I'm getting to the enough stage.

"more than I need, but less than I want"

That's always been my answer, too.

    I have three

Road bike is a Specialized Allez A1, with a Shimano groupset and Mavic rims, quite old now and was a self build project.
Mountain Bike is a hardtail Secialized Rockhopper
I also bave a Brompton S1 folder for commuting, which is deceptively agile

Triumph TT600 as well but I don't think that counts for this thread...

Our garage is full of bikes! 8 in total

My husband and I have each two bikes: one cheap MTB for going scrambling around the nearby park! and Specialized Hybrids (Sirrius and Vita) for family runs.

Our daughter has three bikes: 1)Trek bike trailer (when we all go around doing our family bike trails) 2) Normal training weel bike and 3) balance a bike. Then we have an extra old road bike that we lend to friends (in conjuction with the other MTB) when they come visit. :D

How do you like the EMD? I couldn't decide between that and the Air 9 - went with the Air 9 and hated it. Sold it to fund a waltworks, which should be ready in about 6 weeks.

To tell the truth, I haven't ridden it off-road yet. I recently traded my Scott Scale 29er for it. I don't ride MTB nearly as much as I once did. Gravel grinding is my go-to poison these days (thus the new Giant TCX).

Congrats on the upcoming new Walt. I was wondering if anyone would pick up on that. I heard he had a kid a while back and shutdown the fab shop. He's a peculiar bird, but knows his stuff!
