    Thanks, Kathy for this challenge...

I started Low Carb High Fat Lifestyle in the last month, and lost 5 lbs. I only have 5 more lbs to lose, but MORE Body Fat...I know we cannot spot reduce, so, with my workouts, I want to swap loss of fat for muscle

Here are my Stats as well as I know them:

    NAME: Deb
    HEIGHT: 5'2
    CW (Current Weight): 118
    UGW 113
CBF% (Current Body Fat %: From my Omron FAT LOSS Monitor : 34.9 (High)
UBF% (Ultimate Body Fat % or desired BF%): 25% to start

Hello everyone My name is Nancy, and I have weighed my goal weight for 3 years and then this past October I ended up putting on 5 pounds, well I have been struggling with this for months!!!! Somehow I cant seem to lose it, I was down to 115 2 days ago , and was thinking I'm finally seeing results, the next day 116 and today I was 118. I went out last night for dinner with the family, I didn't pig out, yet the weight was there. So frustrating!!!! But I'm confident that it can be done!!!!

    Hi All,

I've been moaning about the same 10 pounds for about 2 years now. My husband and I are going to start trying for some babies here soon, and I really want to lose the 10 lbs before that happens! I exercise a lot, and I think that almost makes it harder. I crossfit, run, and walk my dogs about 3 miles a day on top of all of that. I just really love to be active though, so I really need to find that fine line of enough nutrition to keep going and keep me satisfied, but still allowing me to lose weight.

Hi folks. For the last few years I've teeter-tottered between 130 and 120, and I'd like to get down to that 120 once and for all. Ideally though, if I'm in-between 130 and 120 and I have more muscle and less body fat than I do now, that would be considered a victory for me too.

I plan on hitting this goal though primarily bodyweight exercises, and I'll see what I can try next once I've gotten the hang of that. I have nothing at all against weightlifting and maybe I'll do it one day, but I don't think I'm strong enough to do it yet because a) I can't do a squat or a push up yet, both of which are needed for lifting and b)2 months ago i fractured a bone in my foot trying to squat with an empty barbell on top of just the craziness I was trying to do to lose weight. I'll hopefully be out of the camboot I'm wearing next week, and I'll also be under doctor's orders to take it slow when I work out to avoid another injury.

In terms of my diet, for the time being I've just been getting the hang of eating healthier on weekdays. I enjoy cooking and I've been working to incorporate more veggies into my diet somehow. Additionally I just keep track of the snacks I eat, just working to keep under my calorie goal. When I start working out again, I'll be looking forward to figuring out how to incorporate the appropriate amounts of macros into my diet. I do have cheat meals on fridays and weekends, but I am working to keep them under control by at least measuring out what I eat as much as possible to keep under my calories.

It's nice to meet all of you, I look forward to working together to reach our goals!

Hi Maria is great you guys plan to have babies soon, and I would do the same... dropping the extra lbs before getting pregnant since that add at least 18 lbs or more for awhile. so aiming for 250 calorie deficit would would be that line you are looking for.
I would start with 1500 or 1600 calories to see how that go and be patient this takes time and commitment and sometimes you are doing what you are supposed to do and have to wait a month to start seeing results.

Hi Linka I am glad you joined us. I am sorry you hurt your foot, i wish you a speedy recovery.
Diet wise veggies, protein, a lot of water and weighing my foods specially fats and carbs help a lot in terms of fat loss. The difference is heaven to hell when i miss that in my diet.

Looking forward to support each other.

    Hi Kathryn,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, historically ~ 1500 calories is what has worked for me in the past. Not going to lie - my problem is I LOVE to eat :) It's one of the reasons I work out like a crazy person!! We are always going out to eat, drinking wine, and engaging in all around poor dietary decisions lol. So I am really going to work on my will power and try to change my habits to help me get these 10 lbs off. I look forward to doing this with you guys - a little support is never a bad thing!! And I am all about the Monday weekly weigh ins!!!

Thanks about the foot, it's doing a lot better. Hopefully I'll be out of it next week. I just have to take it easy, which is why I want to do bodyweight work-also because I'm kind of weak XD.

I agree on the veggies, I'm trying to cook things with them more often and I shoot to measure as much as possible. I've got a lot of leftover food from my cooking I have to eat that may not be ideal for my goals, but I'll figure out a way to integrate them I guess XD

Hi all. Just figuring out how to post etc on MFP. Not very computer savvy. I have been trying to lose these last kg for the last 2 years. I am a mum of 2, work part time and feel I never seem to have time for anything. I am trying to eat more healthily and excercising too. My main problems are snacking, chocolate and eating the kids left overs!!! I am on week 5 alpha T25 but no change yet. Disheartening to say the least. I know I should probably start strength training but no gym access, home equipment, or time. Excuses eh?! I am not following any particular diet but think might start looking at IIFYM. eating at TDEE -15% which puts me at about 1400 a day. I must say, at weekends I tend to relax somewhat. Social events, glass of wine or 2 with husband in the evening....
Anyway, great to find this group.
