Tilted hip leading to running pain

So, I'm being told that due to my scoliosis, the right side of my hip leans forward and this causes some pretty bad pain after a run. I'm due to see a physical therapist within the next month, and I'm anxious to see what they have to offer! I want to run a marathon in just 18 weeks and I really need to get this treated!

Update: Well, my GP agrees that my hip is tilted but doesn't think it's from scoliosis! I got a referral for a sports med doc so we'll see what they say. I am relieved for now though!

Hi, I was just recently diagnosed with mild scoliosis but I really want to run. My doctor said that we don't need surgery. I just wondering since you run as well what are your experiences with running. Do you think your scoliosis will get worse if you run? I really want to exercise, I'm just scared if it gets worse. Thanks!
