Almost there

I have had my psych eval, blood work and cardiac clearance. This Friday I will have my sleep study. Only problem is I can't get in to see my PCP for over a month. I work Monday thru Friday now and she doesn't have anything that fits my schedule. I might just have one of my work doctors sign off on it.....Do you think if I fax it to my PCP they would just sign off on it? I see her regularly, but I haven' talked to her about WLS. I am so excited and nervous at the same time.

Hard to say. My PCP was involved in my decision from the get go. She wanted copies of all tests etc. sent to her during the process. Of course, I know not all PCP's are that involved, but I see her as the primary coordinator of my total health picture. It surprises me that your almost done with all your prep and your PCP doesn't even know about your WLS. So, who knows? Call her and see.

My PCP basically just wanted to see the blood work. They were already familiar with me, so just wanted to see the labs and make sure this was what I wanted to do.

I mean, it wouldn't hurt to ask would it?

Yes....I kinda went about this process backwards. I had scheduled all of the specialties first thinking they would take the longest to get it. My PCP is fitting me in Saturday. I am an otherwise healthy person and see her yearly. Thank you for your input!
