Hi, missed signing in yesterday, went for hike with a friend then swam in pool. That and nia is pretty much my summer activities.
Kids and long air flights and drives are a real challenge, glad you are safely here Sherri.

This describes nearly everything I have! Lol! I had a garbage bag full like this when I left. DH was to go thru it and pull anything out that shouldn't be thrown out and dump the rest.
Well, these days have been challenging and even though my flying day had to be a quick add guesstimate, yesterday I was able to go back and figure everything out at the end of the day and log it...and it wasn't pretty. I'm already logging as I go today. Finally getting a handle on things. Yesterday's walk wasn't much, but better than nothing. If MIL gets home in time today, I might even try for a run. She has to tie up some loose ends today, so we can travel first thing in the morning. A good long run might make up for some of the past two days terrible eating and I need to find better alternatives to all the high calorie foods that are everywhere here!
Have a good one everyone!!0 -
Good morning everyone!
Yesterday was a pretty good workout day. I got a 5k run in at lunch. I wasn't super fast, but it was a good run. My muscles were a little sore from deadlifts on Sunday. I had every intention of going to hot yoga in the evening but it didn't happen. I got some bad news and didn't feel like it after that. Oh well, I didn't really need to go.
Hope everyone has/had a great day today!0 -
Today was supposed to be my rest day but I went for a 25 min stroll this am. I've already gotten 4k steps in and it's only 10am. Planned healthy breakfast, snacks, lunch, and hubs wants to grill cheeseburgers for dinner. I'll be sure to have a protein shake when I walk in the door.
Yesterday I was SO HUNGRY all day, I felt like a bottomless pit. I just made sure I threw plenty of produce into the pit.
xcalygrl, you can make someone at Goodwill very happy when you donate your junk.
I weighed myself this morning and I was down from 180.8 to 180 even. I've been 179-183 for about 6 weeks now and am going to break through this plateau to reach my next goal of 168. When I am 168, I will be overweight and no longer obese.0 -
hi all. i just did my ashtanga yoga practice for the day. i was starving after so i'm having a snack! practice was better today with the air conditioner on - at least didn't feel so wiped out *during* it. now the question is whether i'll have energy to focus on work for the next two hours until lunch.0

Hey everybody.
I have a donation pile going at home too. I've donated more clothes than I can tell you and am overdue to make another drop off.
Sorry to hear you got bad news xcaly. Hope everything is going to be okay.
I have a walk scheduled at lunch with a friend, then Pilates after work. Got back on track with eating on Sunday and already am seeing results on the scale so obviously some the 5 extra pounds I had put on really was water weight. Still up 3 pounds from my low weight but started out +5.0 -
I organized clothes last week and was depressed at the fact I am not into the smaller clothes I love that I have been saving. I am thinking of giving myself two years and if not in them yet give away, it just gives me too much guilt to look at them all the time.
But I do hope to be in them!!! Haven't given up yet!
The running that burns off a bunch of calories makes me wish i could do more of it. Why I do my steeper hikes after bad weeks.0 -
Just checking in. Started to go run today and didn't even get thru the warmup walk when I realized I had screwed something trip-related up really badly nand had to go back home to try to find a solution. Basically I grabbed the wrong drivers license when I was packing and now I don't have a DL. Ugh!! I tried the embassy, the dmv, aaa and the only solution is for DH to FedEx the right one to me. So we won't be leaving tomorrow after all. And I didn't get a run today and could have desperately used the stress relief. So I'm slowly coming out of crisis mode and will try for a run tomorrow. Eating is still not good, but I'm tracking it the good the bad and the ugly and am determined to reel it in while here, no matter how hard it is.0

The days are flying by! I don't always get checked in, but have been keeping up even if a bit lackadaisical sometimes. I had a great workout today, getting some of the one-legged balancing lunge thingys that have been really hard for me. And upped the weights on several -- feels good!
Intervals tomorrow, right??? You can all kick me in the butt if I skip...:noway:0
