So I do not have much weight to lose so I would like to maintain while tone up. I want to get more into lifting and I was wondering if whey protein makes you gain weight? I know its good for recovery but I am nervous that it will make me get too big.... need advice.

Thanks!

Melissa

Whey protein does not make you gain weight. You gain weight by eating/drinking excess calories. It's just a convenient way to help meet your protein macros.

You will not get "big" from working out. Adding protein will help repair the muscles that have been stressed by lifting.
