Love todays opener....it is a lifestyle.

Monday morning is here and I am hoping for a nice sunny uneventful week. I have a sore quad muscle from doing a Jillian Michaels workout last week. Took a couple of days off of running because of it, but was able to do 8K yesterday without much problem. Today....not sure what to do, maybe a bike ride. Don't think I'll run

Had a nice weekend, went to supper on Saturday night with friends and then back to our place for drinks on the patio afterwards. Love summer so much. Yesterday we drove to a beach and went for a nice walk. Something we don't' often do.

I ordinarily would have run this morning but my foot is awfully sore after Saturday's run, so I decided to hold off and give it extra rest. I have a trainer session after work and will talk to Jason then about it. If he wants me to run after I can go to the track. Tomorrow we don't have Pilates so I'm going to go to the running store and see about getting different shoes. I don't have all that many miles on mine but maybe I need something with more cushion or support.

I joined a challenge for burning 3500 calories a week to lose a pound a week. It has really got me working out more than I normally would. I would normally be lazy and just do the twenty minutes that is recommended. But this challenge has me going for over an hour, trying to hit the target calories burned. I hope I can keep it up for the whole month. It is a lot easier while it is still the summer semester. Once fall semester starts it is going to be a lot harder. Grrr, really gotta buckle down and research gym memberships. I think if I have to pay to workout, I would put more effort into getting my money's worth.

Busy few days with no time to work out, I know excuses excuses...our company just left then I have work and go straight from work to book club today.

    Back to nia class tomorrow...

I do have upstairs bedroom and even on non exercise days i run up and down stairs a ton of times, does that count?? lol

I am trying to eat better and today cooked to much and I eat too fast so ended up real full, I have to slow down and cook less.

THIS WEEKEND ROCKED! Well, when it came to healthy behavior. I’ve been struggling with healthy weekends and this one—while not perfect—was a serious improvement! Worked out both days, ate a lot closer to my calories, and did not have binge-y type meal. Took my son for a stroll that we both enjoyed.

Here are my goals for the week:
    1) Eat within cals +/- 150
    2) Lift TWICE. Rawr!
    3) Get my steps in BOTH weekend days.

Rest day today. Did my stairs, but nothing other than that. It was a long day at work today, so I never did get to the auto shop. I need to get the car there this week though.
