    The binge: 1

Ugh. almost 11pm sitting on my couch, hoping for sleep and a new day. i've been going through stimulant withdrawal for the past week (vyvanse which I've been on for 4 years) as well as getting properly treated for bi-polar (lithium and lamictal). My body is freaking out and I'm craving carbs and fats worse than ever before .i'm bloated, tired, depressed, and just unsure when this awful pattern of eating/sleeping/eating/sleeping will subside. Does anyone have experience with binge eating after getting off stimulants?? I can use some comforting words and/or advice on how to soften the withdrawal (if such a thing exists). Thank you for reading this post.

    Sincerely,

    "Vacation Eating": 1

I wouldn't really call over-eating on vacation a binge, especially since I didn't really have any healthy eating options because today we were traveling all day and we had to cross borders, meaning no fruits or veg. But I definitely ate way over... So it's not a win for me at all

    Dennis,

Have you tried to determine why you are waking up in the middle of the night?

    Chuck

Sorry I missed this post. I'm waking up to use restroom. I also had myself checked for infection and enlarged prostrate, but neither are causing frequent trips to restroom. It happens during the day also.

And while at one time, I was very hungry due to restrictive diet, most of the time now its just a mindless binge for refined carbs.

    Dennis,

Have you been checked for diabetes? Excessive urination (and excessive thirst) is one of the symptoms of diabetes. I was diagnoses with Type 2 Diabetes after seeing my doctor about excessive urination.

Lately, I have been eating a protein bar a few hours before going to bed and that seems to curb my need to binge some what.

I've have quite a bit of bloodwork and tests done since I've began recovering from eating disorder. No issues with diabetes. It probably has quite a bit to do with being on prozac for the bulimia, and prozac is well known for causing insomnia.
