Did you know that:
100g of sour cream has only 3 carbs for 20g of fat .
100g of mayonnaise has only 1 carb for 79g of fat (Calve is the brand used here)...

These two facts brought a smile to my face even though i could never eat 100g of mayonnaise or sour cream.

What is your food that you avoided for so long and can finally enjoy again?
Bacon probably tops most lists.

  • Sour cream, I use to avoid it thinking I couldn't eat it. Bloody love me some sourcream!!

Adding back in bacon ect has been nice, I enjoy not worrying about fat and just watching carbs, I actually find it a lot easier to avoid carbs than fat...

  • Mascarpone (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mascarpone)

    For 100gr: 407kcal, 4.8 proteins, 4.8 carbs, 41g fat

My gf prepares a mascarpone-based cream as breakfast, for when we get bored of fried bacon&eggs, sausages, etc..

    50gr mascarpone + 1 medium egg.
Add 1/2 tsp of dark chocolate or a bit of vanilla, lemon, orange or what you prefer as flavour.
    Whip until fluffy.
    Enjoy. :-)

Roasted pork belly. Heck, most things pork-derived make me very happy.

I ran into Creme Fraiche at the store. 40% milk fat, goes great in the slaw.
