Carb frustration

Hello everyone!
I tried FODMAPs for about 6 weeks at the beginning of the year. I have IBS-A, though most of the time it's type C so I didn't expect the diet to do much for me. I thought I was proved correct, when the reintroduction yielded minimal help with trigger foods. However, lately, I seem to have switched (maybe due to stress? I just graduated from law school and graduate school and took the bar) to IBS-D. Since April, I've had several 10+ day bouts of D during which, I eat what everyone says - white, bland food. But, I've been noticing lately that it's really carbohydrates that do the most damage to my system.
Has anyone had success with other foods on D days? It's too the point now where I'm contemplating a gluten insensitivity because I can feel fine all day, but within an hour of eating pasta or bread I'm headed to the bathroom!

I don't know - but soup helps on d days- it is liquid but gets absorbed and is soothing. You get some salts.0

Try cutting gluten for a month and see how you feel0

Give it a longer shot, in my opinion. Look into Specific Carb DIet and GAPS. FOdmaps on its own did not work for me as many of the foods it allowed bother me quite a lot.
I hope you can figure this out. Cutting out gluten and dairy should be your first objective.1
