I believe that in order to have a healthy body we need also to have a healthy mind and to be at peace within ourselves.

Let's aim to make November the month we finish what we start and live each day with a positive attitude.

Quote
“Focus on what you can do right now, not what you can't do right now”
― Avis Williams

Happy November - and remember, a positive attitude turns "I can't or I won't," into "I have and I WILL!”

I love this and need this right now!
  • I am with you and started a 21 day meditation event.
I sucked out in October but I am there for this month.
Only 4 days in and I can already feel the difference.

Negative thoughts drain you of energy and keep you from being in the present moment. The more you give in to your negative thoughts, the stronger they become.

"Watch your thoughts, they become words.
Watch your words, they become actions.
Watch your actions, they become habits.
Watch your habits, they become your character.
Watch your character, it becomes your destiny."

Here are ten things you can try to help overcome negative thoughts.

    1. Meditate or do yoga.

    2. Smile.

    3. Surround yourself with positive people.

    4. Change the tone of your thoughts from negative to positive.

    5. Don’t play the victim. You create your life—take responsibility.

    6. Help someone.

    7. Remember that no one is perfect and let yourself move forward.

    8. Sing.

    9. List five things that you are grateful for right now.

    10. Read positive quotes.

Today, I am going to concentrate on No. 4 and will concentrate on changing the tone of my thoughts from negative to positive. Not an easy process but a worthwhile one if I succeed.

    Happy positive thinking! xx

I am trying to work on all of these but #1 for me is quitting Facebook and staying OFF. That for me is nothing but negative lately and it makes me see people in a negative light I wouldn't if it were just face to face.

Silly me went to the main forum today (it is like an addiction). I was nasty and negative, those people have a bad effect on me. >:)

Facebook is tame compared to those monsters.

Had two miracles this week, one minor and the other huge, and I am going to put them down to positive thinking.

Long personal story about my sick brother-in-law which I am not going to share but enough to say he has been on a ventilator in a induced coma for the past two weeks and we had almost given up hope of him waking up. Yesterday, he woke and recognised his wife and daughter. He is still very unwell but at least now they have hope and had a chance to tell him how much they love him.

And my minor miracle, my awful mean manager was transferred suddenly and left the same day she told us she was leaving. Hoorah! :D:D The power of everyone hoping and wishing she would leave!!
