CLX Cardio options

Hey everyone,
I am planning to start CLX in about two weeks after I finish my current round of p90x3. One of the things I have been thinking about with p90x3 is that there is a good deal of cardio mixed in to almost all of the videos and that has helped my cardio endurance. I know that CLX is more geared towards weight training and resistance exercises, but are there also good cardio workouts mixed in as well? I'm not one of those "cardio only!!!" people, just don't want to lose that small foundation there!
I didn't do much research on this, as I bought it at a whim for $25 at a yard sale and figured, "Great! I can try this after X3!" This will be my first time working out with Chalene (have previously worked out with Uncle Tony in p90x, p90x3 and Dictator Shaun T in 3/4 of insanity and focus t25).

Your heart rate will go up whenever you do the leg exercises, but she has separate videos for cardio. "Burn It Off" and "Burn Intervals." Some people like them, some don't. I've done the program 3 times so I like to mix and match my cardio days.0

Yes! I figured I'd add an extra cardio day in anyway (I just prefer 6 on 1 off or I get really lazy), so I was thinking of putting in some Shaun T cardio since that is his wheelhouse.0

Also, super excited to start!!0

I have tried to do a Shaun T video and just didn't care for him. I have subbed in CardioX and some of the BBL cardios, or just did some treadmill with pumped up music.
Stick with it, CLX is a great program!0 -

I really like the burn intervals video, I can easily burn 500+ calories per workout. I average 250ish for the actual strength videos so then I will do 15-20 min of pure cardio after like running on the treadmill or the elliptical etc. but your heart rate does go up with lifting weights. I just like to average 400+ calories a day burnt0 -
Yes! My finish date for p90x3 is next Wednesday, so one week from now! But I am getting excited to start CLX!0

Awesome! Today is my last day of x3! woot woot! But I've done Burn Circuits 1, 2... and Burn Intervals so far to just kinda get used to the videos beforehand. Super excited!0

Yes! I guess I am now about two weeks in So far -- I like Burn Intervals but do not like Burn it Off! So I have been substituting t25 in on the extra rest day and on Burn it Off! day.... I think that helps me psychologically anyway!
I am debating on asking for TurboFire for Christmas0 -
I am debating on asking for TurboFire for Christmas
It was on sale for their Black Friday sale, but sold out very quickly. I'd recommend ordering through a coach so you get the extra DVD (it has Greatest HIITS on it).
I'm sharing in this group my TF experiences, but it's hard for me. I've decided I LOVE the HIITS, but not so much the longer workouts.
I'd say that it's worth owning for a change up. The music is great for the most part and of course, Chalene is super peppy.

Yes! I am considering either asking for it or craigslisting it from someone... and probably doing it as a hybrid with CLX or something after CLX is over. I dunno! I am all over the place. I probably don't need it as I have t25, insanity, p90x, p90x3, clx..... LOL!0

Why not consider it as an add to the collection. There are so many worse things you could collect than workout programs!

I did buy a copy of Turbo Fire thanks to that and the fact that a lady was trying to sell one on Craigslist to get money for her daughter's Christmas presents. Win, win?! I get TF, she gets $40 towards a good Christmas?0

Yes!! Plus, you can never have too many to rotate in and swap things0

TF is fantastic for an "in a pinch" workout also. Want to burn 3-500 calories but only have 20 minutes? DONE!0
-
Yes!!! That is how I feel about it! I feel like it is at least worth what I paid for I due to the in-a-pinch options!!!
Though sadly, I missed all workouts yesterday. I burned the inside of my thigh pretty bad thanks to tripping with boiling water while cooking. Dangerous sport, man. Told my fiancé I can no longer cook due to it being so dangerous. LOL. Now it is still all blistery, but I expect to be fine by Saturday/Sunday.... I am thinking tonight might be a shoulders and chest from p90x night?0 -
I did Fire 30 on what is called a "CLX rest day" on day 2 of the week.... it is more choreography than I am used to so I feel like I need to go through it like ten more times before I get the full effect of it! I think I am a bigger fan of the HIITs.0

You definitely get better and know what's about to happen the more you do it. I'm not a big fan of her punch combos and think I hyper-extend my elbow. HIITs are great - even the 20 or 25 minute which aren't much shorter than the Fires. I just get more pumped up.

yes.... I thought about it and I like the punch combos a lot better in the MMX workout on p90x3. I think he does a better job at helping you to know what to be pivoting on the lower half of your body. That - or I am just not made for dance-y cardio, though I like the "fire throw" things.0
-
MMX? I haven't done P90X3 yet either. I really miss PiYo!0

MMX is the MMA-inspired workout on x3.... it was really good! but I am not so good at choreography and that one has a more athletic nature to it, if that makes sense?
I did t25 all most of the week of Christmas as I was visiting my sister out in TX. Ready to get back to CLX. I think I will restart the first phase, though.... due to the holiday and stuff!0 -
haha you say "out in Texas." That's where I am! Nice work keeping it up while on your holiday.
I'm considering starting over now that we have a gym area in our garage. Got SelectTechs for Christmas!0 -
What an awesome present!!! LOL! I use the bands! It took some getting used to at first but definitely nice for travel, space issues, and cost.
My parents/ sister's side of the family all live in a suburb of Dallas while I am in Virginia Beach0
