I'm joining this group because I have kyphosis which is a form of scoliosis. I have a full spine set of rods, but, bolts and screws in my back. On top of that I have herniated disks. So not much activity can take place right now. Anyone with similar issues? Would love any advice. I am going to walk as much as I can, but need some more low key activities.

Hi, thanks for being the first to join. I have a herniated / prolapsed disk, DDD and Osteoarthritis of the spine. Its no fun as you know. I had to check what kyphosis was. Ive never heard of it. Reading about it, I'm suprised I don't have it. I have cuviture of the spine, but mustn't be as bad as apparently it has to curve more than 60 degrees. That must hurt at times. When my back goes, my back is like an "S' shape or a "?".
I hope this group gets used as I hope. I'm hoping other people like us can maybes get help and advise here regarding their fitness. I have found it hard lately with my back, thats why I started this group, to help others in a similar situation.

    Hi.

My problems are osteoarthritis of knees, left hip, arthritis in both hands and both feet, and damage to my back causing lower back pain. I am reluctant to do heavy exercise because of this. Weight loss has helped a lot.

Great to hear it. I was taking to my wife about Iceland stuff the other day. Gonna be getting stuff from there I reckon, especially those meal in a bag things.

That's one big reason I'm trying to lose the weight is to help with my back issues.

Hi all, I tore my lumbar ligaments in a car crash a few years ago, nothing really that can be done so I'm just about pain management and strengthening as I can. Thanks Steve for making this group.
