I'm gonna join in here and try to post every week. I need some accountability for my weight gain or I'll go overboard . Gained 60 lbs with my first. Aiming for only gaining 15-20 with this one. So far, so good.

Hello I am new to this group, however not new to FitnessPal. I sought this group out because I was chastized by my doctor at 26 weeks for gaining 8 lbs. between appointments (this included Thanksgiving, which really lasts a week in my family). He has requested that I do not gain another ounce before delivery. So, he wants me to go into labor at the same weight I was a t 26 weeks (a total gain of 38 lbs.). So far I have lost 6 of the 8 poiunds by following low carb eating guidelines. So, this puts me at a total gain of 32 lbs. so far. I am just so feaful because all of my mommy friends are telling me you reach a point about 2 months before delivery (I am 28 weeks pregnant currently) that you gain .5-1lb. a week no matter what you do. However, I am encouraged by your posts because it seems that this has not been true for you women. My situation is further complicated because I cannot really exercise (outside of walking) due to my high risk pregnancy. I was very active before I got pregnant, going to the gym 3 days a week in addition to walking.0

My last recorded weight was approximately a total gain of 26lbs...with COPIOUS amounts of swelling.

Really haven't been wanting to post my gains lately. I had alot of Xmas parties this past week and now my weight has gone out of control. I'm going to try and rein it in a bit this week and do some damage control. I know I'm retaining some water though... just don't know how much of it is water and how much of it is actual weight. I'm feeling a bit depressed though, because I've been trying really hard to keep everything under 25 lbs and I'm right on the cusp of hitting that now and I still have 4 weeks left. I also know I shouldn't be freaking out and all that because I've done really well overall, but it's soooo hard to keep myself in mental check, especially since I worked so hard losing weight before pregnancy (and wasn't done yet). Here's to hoping this next week treats me better....0 -
I'm 37 weeks and up 23lbs. I wanted to gain around 25lbs, so I'm happy at the moment. Luckily, I'm not retaining any water and I haven't slowed down too much. I haven't walked in a few days, but that's due to time constraints. I will get back on the wagon this week since my last day of work is December 23rd. The dog will be happy to have me home and have me available for her daily walk.0

I'm 24 weeks and change and up 8 right now, hoping to keep it to 15 max because I came into the pregnancy with some of the wt from my last pregnancy, ooops!0

Started previous pregnancy around 160 and ended up over 200 (40+ lb gain )
I only weigh on days I have an appt so I can compare what my home scale says to the scale in the doctor's office (they subtract lbs to account for clothes).

Week 5: 122 (-3 pounds from not eating/nausea)

27 weeks and up 18.5lbs so far...it's all seemed to happen over the last 4 weeks. My midwife questioned the jump in weight so we had an ultrasound last week to check growth (Im measuring 3 weeks ahead) and sure enough, baby girl is almost 3lbs already. Ive got a big baby growing in my tummy!0

25 weeks pregnant and weigh 127.6. Starting weight was 117 @ 5'4. 10.6 pounds gained and this is 3rd pregnancy. I haven't been energized enough to workout alot recently so I probably have lost a ton of muscle. Hoping to gain the healthy 25 pounds this time. 38 pounds with my first, 29 with second so we will see0

31 weeks and at 15 pounds. My max set by the midwife was 10 to 20 pounds. I am hoping not to go over the 20 pounds, but Ill be happy with 22 pd gain. I gained 70 with my first so this is a win for me. This is the sexiest and strongest Ive felt ever. Doing walking, biking, and prenatal pilates has been awesome at controlling cravings, regulating moods and toning.0

I am 25 weeks, in the beginning I lost 10 and now I am back up 9, so technically I am down one pound since becoming pregnant. Unfortunately I was to heavy to began with so they told me not to gain any weight until after 20 weeks.0

31weeks now, 20kg (44lbs) gain. I feel sooooo bad.
I gained the most in the first trimester cause only carbs helped with stomach problems.

Haven't updated in a few weeks... I'm lazy. lol. Well, I've passed the 25 lbs mark, BUT, 2 days ago I was below 25 lbs, so I'm pretty sure I'm just retaining water. Either way though, I'm not really concerned. I don't expect I'll even hit 30 lbs, which is pretty much what I wanted. Plus, my exercising has pretty much halted. Not sure if I'll get myself to the gym at all this week, though I will try to get swimming in on maybe Wednesday, just to get myself moving and sort of a last hurrah, lol. I've got 2 weeks left, give or take, so I'm pretty much just riding it out at this point. Overall I'm really pleased. I logged every single day (though not as accurately as I could have), and was just more aware of what I was eating. It worked and I'm so glad to have been able to use MFP as a tool for not only weight loss but pregnancy gain. So I guess now we'll just see how the next couple weeks pan out.0 -

I'm 25 weeks +a few days now and when I weighed in yesterday, I actually showed that I'm down 1.5 from my starting weight. Guess we will see the official weigh-in at the doctor next week though... I'm sure my scale and theirs don't match up.0 -
I'm 31 weeks and have gained 16. I think with my first pregnancy I had gained about 22 at this point so I'm pretty happy with the 16. I am 136 to begin with at 5'4" so a pretty average weight. My dr wants me to gain 25-35. With my son I gained 36 and that last five was killing me so I hope to only gain 30 at the most with this one.0

I'm 18 weeks and have gained six pounds. I started out overweight, so I hope to gain 25 or fewer pounds overall. My last pregnancy I gained a crazy amount of weight. Fingers crossed that I can keep things under control for the rest of pregnancy!0
