Hi everyone,
I've been looking for low carb friends :) Iv been in the general forums tho and couldnt find much. So good to see everyone here :)
I started here in 2013 doing low carb and got to my lowest weight ever of 126.
Im now back with a weight of 165..the heaviest I have every been !!
I am a mother of 4 kids 8, 7 and twin 5.
I also just had a baby for my sil last oct. I found the pregnancy very hard, with little to no energy.
I also breast fed my own children and found it easy enough to get back my figure. But its a hell of a lot harder this time, with no breast feeding and Im a good bit older ;)
Am looking for people to be friends with, to share food ideas etc

    Welcome. I have 4 kids (12, 10, 6, and 3) and I'm a lunatic that homeschools.

Happy Low-Carbing! You're welcome to add me as well.

Hello Fantastic, welcome the group!! The main forum is not very welcoming to us LCers, hope they weren't too mean.

I've be doing LCHF for a few months, with a break over the holidays, but really love it. Coming into this and the Keto group has really helped me stay on course, learn about this woe and how to do this long term.

Feel free to add me as well. I am 40 with three children, 22, 14 and 5.

PS So impressed by your gift to your SIL.

Welcome. I alos noticed the other groups are not as keen on the LCHF. I think it is kind of funny the LCHF people do not get their panties in bunch if another chooses to go CICO. I do not know why the other groups get so tweaked if we choose to do LCHF. I know it tends to be so against what is the holo grail in dieting. Well I will consider us LCHF the Elite ones. LOL

My theory is that being hungry all the time makes you cranky. ;)

I feel so free now being low carb, the store is a breeze.

Really, who can complain about a diet that allows lobster basted in butter?

    Could be very possible.

Im keeping to 50g a day. but only down 3lb in last 2 weeks ? Btw I can SEE a difference so cant figure out why its not on the scales ??

3 pounds in two weeks is a 1.5 pound a week loss rate. That's solidly into the impressive range for most people. The majority of my weight was lost at a rate of 0.75-1 pounds a week, which is still pretty quick compared to some. On top of that, unless you're weighing daily and doing trend lines or averages, there is a huge margin of error in scale weights. That 3 pounds could be 4-5 or maybe more depending on water weight fluctuations and other factors.

The main thing is that it's going in the right direction. The speed isn't as important. As long as you keep walking down the same road, you'll get to the end.

I agree, which is why I upped my calories. I am actually doing better with low carb, higher fat intake, I have more energy to work out. And my body shape will tone.
