Low Blood Sugar

I went to the doctor the other day because I have been having dizzy spells. I found out that my blood pressure is low 90/60 and that by blood sugar was only 41. That 41 was after having had some oatmeal for breakfast and a couple of cheese sticks on the way to the appointment. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do when my sugar goes that low? Normally you would have something with sugar but does that work after bypass? I know I wouldn't want to have glucose. The dumping would be just as bad. I see the bariatric doc on Monday so I am hoping they have some ideas but I need to make it through the weekend. Thanks.

Hmmmm that is a tough one . Maybe call the md before then and ask. You need a complex carb but we all are staying away from them. Try eating fruit .

This is a known issue to your Dr so that is where you will get the best solution. There is a sub lingual glucose (under the toung) that is not swallowed. So be assured that you will have a good outcome. The blood pressure is also low are you getting 48 - 64 oz of water?
