I'm playing Sasha, girls got a bloody death wish. Mental case. Michonne needs to pull rank & get her inline sharpish. Maybe go old school on her & wake Sasha up with some pet walkers on leashes staring at her. ( don't mess with me beyatch ). Poor daryl he needs someone to mend his broken heart.0

Wild dog stew
Did anyone else think Rover and Rex looked a little tough, dry, and gamey last night?
Here's my recipe for wild dog stew
Shoulder or flank of one wild dog, skinned and all bullets removed *
4 cloves fresh garlic, peeled
1 large onion or leek, diced
2-3 stalks celery, chopped
2 tblspn olive oil
2 cups small young potatoes ("Boil em, mash em, stick em in a stew")
1 cup diced sweet potato, yam, or butternut squash
6-8 large mushrooms, sliced
1 peeled diced parsnip
2-3 peeled chopped carrots
1 large can stewed tomatoes
1 cup red wine
1 beef or vegetable bouillion cube
Italian herbs: basil, oregano, thyme, sage, black pepper, rosemary
1 cup green kale, chopped fine
1 tsp cornstarch dissolved in a little water.
Heat the olive oil in a large stockpot. Saute the garlic, onion, mushrooms, and celery until soft and fragrant. Add the wild dog roast and sear for a few minutes, then immediately add the wine, tomatoes, and enough water just to cover it. Simmer covered on medium-low for 2 hours.
Add the "root" vegetables, bouillion and herbs. Simmer for another hour until the potatoes and meat are fork-tender. Add the kale and cornstarch for the last 15 minutes; the sauce will thicken.
Good the first day, but better on the second. Serve with warm crusty bread or over whole wheat pasta.
* If you're fresh out of wild dog, you can substitute a 2-3 lb beef chuck roast, or a pork or lamb shoulder roast.

That's brilliant!! Mine is always so tough so I usually just turn it into jerky!0
-
Ya, I was so cold and thirsty after this one.0
-
Nobody who shows up alone, perfectly clean, and wearing a coat (a coat, after they spent all episode showing how HOT it was) is to be trusted.
I wonder if we'll ever know for sure about those water bottles.0 -
He has a Terminus vibe to him for sure. Creeped me the hell out!!0
-
That's what my mr said too
I really hope he's kosher, they could do with a break & some good luck.0 -
Hah! What show are you watching?0
-
I read that he is Aaron from the comic books who is actually a good guy from a safe zone, he watches people to see how they act and then when he decides if they are nice he invites them. Also though its at the point where some bad people come along in the comics at this time but it's not aaron. The show could change things so we will see0

Admiral I watch like this, I'm pretty sure it's walking dead I'm watching,
Skeletal dead behind the eyes creatures,
Quick to attack, driven by greed.
- Meh - could have been real housewives of New Jersey.

They should shoot him dead just on principle.0

Lol at the roasted dog. Speaking of that, do you guys watch Talking Dead? I loved the disclaimer. I can't remember exactly, but it was something like, "no dogs were harmed in the making of this show about people being eaten." And I think a later one that said something similar, sorry if eating dogs offends you when eating people doesn't. Lol!

That's a hell of a good point!0
-
Lol those disclaimers are funny.0
-
So you guys think those are real children voices?0
-
Yup! At this point it'll hurt more to find a community of good people that can be a home, and then have that taken away again.0
-
I think the place is legit. If there were a zombie apocalypse real life, I believe you would see many such settlements. Simple fortified neighborhoods of mostly good people, coping as well as they can. Of course, it will not be paradise. They will have enemies wanting what they have and internal conflict as well.0

Please. Please. Please be a sanctuary.
My wish is that Morgan is behind those doors, & they have a nursery for Judith , & Michonne finds love. - but I'm not holding out hope.0 -
I can't even do anything right now!!! I swear if Daryl dies next week I'm never watching the show again!!!0
-
I was hoping Rick would shave his beard. Looks like there is a plan B if things don't work out. Carl has a potential love interest?0

That's certainly what they are trying to make it look like with that preview! I'm pretty sure my husband rolled his eyes when the huge gasp came out of my mouth watching that I don't think the producers would be dumb enough to kill Daryl off, but then again I don't know. They would certainly loose a lot of watchers I think, I for one would cry a lot and then keep watching because I would want to see where they took the show from there.
Guess time will only tell.......but I really didn't like them saying a surprise guest next week on Talking Dead after/before (can't remember) that speak peak clip!

I was also glad that Rick cleaned up. And that Glenn shut up that idiot! I am tired of our regulars dying though. Kill someone else if they must for a change! I think Daryl is ready to move out already. Or at least go on a hunt for dinner. Strange that they let him and Michonne keep their weapons. And I laughed outloud at the way Carol was putting on the helpless act. The way she struggled removing her weapons even.

Did anyone notice Fr. Gabriel in the show Sunday night? It's like he disappeared.0
-
so, I'm wondering if the guy Deanna banished was Morgan??
and, I'm with you guys on rioting if Daryl dies!
to play devil's advocate, there are a lot of 'regular' characters now, more than half of them don't have any lines it seems.0 -
oh no, not the devils advocate. I usually play that part! How about the originals from season one are exempt from being killed off for awhile. A bit more acceptable. We really need a new evil person to make it interesting though.0
-
I think they're showing us that in this situation, Rick is the evil person. But it's more likely that the "wolves" that wiped out Noah's community are on their way, and that teenage girl is their scout.
(I don't read the comics, I only watch the show)0 -
I was suggesting evil as in someone we all want to kill! I do not read the comics either. No time to do everything.

I like how they ended it with Rick saying that basically if it doesn't work out, they will just take the place. Another thing to think about is that this group found this place by following the signs. Did they take the signs down advertising the "luxury community"??? This can attract some evil people. Can't wait to see what happens but they better leave Daryl alone!!0
-
I know who the next evil person is but don't want to say in case someone doesn't want to know. I know Norman reedus just did an interview this week and said to bring lots of tissue for the season finale and you will probably be yelling at the tv. I kind of have an idea who is next to go but am not sure if they are doing that this season or next season0
-
Hmmmm, I may be finding a new favorite show to watch. I also watch Grimm.
