I was curious to see how many calories everyone was ingesting. My surgeon told me not to be concerned about the many of calories however I still track them. I am doing between 600-700 calories daily not sure if that is reasonable or not. I am also having a hard time meeting my protein goals I have been sitting around 60-70 grams of protein a day.

I am 7 1/2 months out and average about 900 a day. My dr doesn't require calorie tracking but to have protein at 60-80 grams a day and 30g of carbs. I typically get over 80g of protein and about 25 g of carbs mostly from dairy and spices and of course veggies.0

I'm eating around 600-700 cals/day. 60-70g protein seems great. I'm shooting for 60 and sitting around 50-60.0

I'm 3 1/2 months pre opt and I average around 700 per day. My dietitian said to get between 600 and 800 per day. I'm still supplementing with a protein drink daily to keep my protein around 80 grams per day.0

Im 7 months out and initially I was told to get in 60-80 but they've been pushing a minimum of 80-100 for a few months now.
I strive for 90 but sometimes I can get 100 in.
We were told to be off of shakes by the 3rd month and to only initially use them as a quick way to get protein in if we were lacking in #'s by the end of the day.
Being out this amount of time, all of mine now comes from foods (solids)
Im sure I could get 100 or greater, a lot depends on my food choices for the day!0 -
Six weeks out. My program recommends 600-800 cals & 60gm protein at this point. I'm usually where I need to be.0

10 months out and I like to stay between 800-900 calories and 75 grams of protein.0

My doc wants me between 900-1000 and he recommends 70 grams of protein. Now that I am 4 months out, I find that as long as I make good food choices, I can regularly hit both.0

my NUT wants me to be between 700 - 800 cals and not less than 70 grams of protein0

I'm almost 9 months out and eat between 1000-1300 most days (60-100 g protein). I burn 300-900 calories a day exercising, though, and try to eat a little more when I have a bigger burn.0

i am having trouble with getting my protein in and is usually less than 65/day; if i try get more protein in, then my calories are too high 1200-1500/day! so what is everyone eating to keep their calories down but keep the protein up?0

Why do you believe your cals are too high Ida?
Be where You need to be, not based on someone elses stats....we are all different!0
