Eight weeks into LCHF I went to the Dr today and confirmed I am down to a BMI of 26 at 163lb. Five pounds to go to 'normal' weight which is my primary goal, then another seven lbs for my own vanity. Happy doesn't begin to describe it. Thank you to you all.

Awesome news. And yeah, it does work. That's the one thing that the CICO people dislike most, that this works. They wish it didn't so they had more ammunition to use against it. All they can really end up arguing is that it worked because the calories in went down. As if that's a sin.

Keep it up and you'll be at your goal in no time.

Thank you. It's been a whole lot less painful than my experiences with low calorie dieting. I can't believe I put this off for so long out of fear of being miserable and hungry!

As soon as I realised a long walk earned me more food I was off! Try and stop me!

I am down 40 pounds today, which is half way to goal. I started the WOE in February, thinking my next step was WLS, if this didn't work. But it is working! I count calories and carbs most days, but only worry about counting carbs on weekends. I'm still learning to only eat when I'm hungry, and to stop when full, which is why I'm still counting calories. Too much high carb bingeing for too many years skewed my body awareness, but it is improving daily. I can't believe it's actually working!

Great to hear. Keep it up and avoid surgery. I know that some people will end up getting it, or have gotten it, but I think this has got to be easier to do than getting the surgery.

@bride and @miche congratulations! It is wonderful news for both of you. I also appreciate you posting your successes. I am on a two month stall. I can't quit, because I need to lose the weight. But, to see your success gives me hope! :-)

Don't quit!!! I actually really loved not weighing for 2 months because I had to trust in the process and not get sad if I gained/stalled for a few days. I recommend it!! Keep on keeping on. Where you are now is a million times better than where you were - you would never want to go back.

@SlimBride2Be so glad for your results! @michel63 I'm a WLS patient who wished she would have found this woe before I did that! Can't change the past though, only the future, and that's what I'm working on! Good for you!
