I liked this post by @SideSteel in the forums, and have it bookmarked: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10180601/non-tracking-methods-and-behaviors-that-may-help-while-tracking/p1

It seems like really sensible advice for anybody who's fed up with calorie counting. I lost weight earlier this year by doing some of the things in that post (although I hadn't read it then!).

Vailara - thanks so much for sharing this; it's my favourite kind of read - the op is just providing info and not saying ya gotta follow it or proclaiming the answer to all our probs; just sharing what she's found has worked and some great tips; I didn't get to the link she put at the end yet but did read the whole article; some excellent suggestions to help if you're not logging; and some overall great tips i'd forgotten like using the palm/fist method! great read thanks!

Excellent post! I also went on to read the comments. Folks crack me up. The OP said several times, what works for one individual, etc..... and there will always be folks that jump on that nay say wagon and act like a 2 year old. Nuh Uh!! That's not what you have to do type of mentality. Instead of reading and absorbing some great information and saying, yes, that works for me, or I should try that.
I found the post very informative and it helps cement in the mind how to set about making this a whole lifestyle not just a today-style.

I found this on the Hello Healthy blog this morning..... I watched 90% of it and seems it might be an actual "beginner" plan for strength training.... think I might give it a shot

Saw this post while trying to fix my ticker and thot i'd share.. mine still wont post lol.. but some FYI in case..

Just wanted to give everyone here a heads up that after some behind the scenes changes, MFP has now set all of our tickers to automatically be private. You can change that here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/profile_privacy under ticker and badges.

Also, there have been some changes to what posts on your friends feeds (for example, every time you make a new friend, it now posts it to all your friends feeds), You can edit that here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/news_feed_settings

Posting this in General Diet and Weight Loss Help so that it reaches the most eyes, but please feel free to cut and paste onto your walls to share it around!
