Welcome
I was ready to quit MFP forums until finding this low carb friendly group.
I'm low carb but in the 50-70 range. Not as hard core as many. It works as a long term steady way of eating for me.
I have been at it for a year and a half with no desire to change much. I cycle my carbs on occasion if I am going to do some intense cardio.
Good luck and stick with it!0 -

ya Ive noticed just in this week that my body doesn't feel as heavy an lethargic and i'm constantly full...unlike other carb heavy diets where Im always hungry. Right now im in the 50g range, but I plan to drop lower. Plus it doesnt feel like a diet, I am eatting steaks, ribs, bacon, cheese...thats my kind of diet lol

Hello..I am certainly not new to MFP but I have only been a part of the LC group for a little over a week, and you are right the rest of the forums are not very nice on this subject .What ever i feel like i have found the secret.. I have been doing this for about a week and i have lost like 4 lbs so far. Which is great but what is even better is I am hardly ever hungry and cravings have almost completely gone bye bye.... Amazing! I have been feeling great it appears my body was needing this WOE for a long time and I didn't know it. I too would like to hear peoples experiences and success stories.0

That is so awesome, you should add me haha. Actually I was just reading this artical on Carb Intolerance, some body's really just dont digest carbs very well so this lifestyle really works for them. For the last two years I have been seeing doctors for everything from sleep apnea, to lack of focus ADD..All the doctors say the same thing "Patient is extremely fatigued but doesn't have any noticeable issues". Well this article says that one of the first complaints about carb intolerance is lack of focus and fatigue. I have been hyper all day today on low carb not fatigued...maybe I am on to something here hahaha

I know I have been to the dr so many times for chronic pain and mental fog and no one ever knows what is wrong with me. I have been experimenting for over a year (on and off) with taking wheat out of my diet and i noticed the weight was easier to lose but it just seemed to bounce back and forth the same 2 or 3 lbs it got very frustrating. I have only lost 4 lbs so far but the way i feel is so amazing there is a marked difference in my mind clarity. I hope the weight continues to come off because i have like 100 lbs to lose. I try and keep my carbs 50 and below but once or twice have been a little higher. So far i love eating like this because I hate feeling hungry to me its like torture to be hungry.0 -

ya below 50g is my daily intake right now, eventually I may even do less than that but slow and steady. I was taking in about 500g of carbs a day the way I was eatting before because I dont cook so everything was fast food. If I do go over occasionally its still way better than where I was at. I just didnt understand what carbs did to my body or protein for that matter0 -
Today is day 11 for me, and as of this morning I am down 8.2 pounds. I am also enjoying (after a sluggish 4-5 days) that ketogenic energy that everyone talks about I no longer get HANGRY between 3-4 in the afternoon. I am satisfied between meals- and sometimes have to sort of remind myself to eat a little something. Staying under my calorie goal feels effortless. I am loving this low carb life and not looking back. I eat less than 20 net carbs. My nutrient goal is 60% fats, 30% protein, 10% carbs- typically I am a little over on fat and under on carbs or proteins.0

I am fairly new to this woe (appx. 2 months) so may not have the success story you are looking for, but feel just discovering LCHF has been a huge success already.
Also:
Not constantly hungry. Success.
Feeling more in control. Success.
Fewer hypothyroid symptoms. Success.
Lower blood sugar readings. Success.
Losing weight. Success.
The successes seem to keep stacking up the more I continue with this. I hope you find many successes along your way as well.0 -

8 pounds in 11 days is awesome!

I eat a range typically between 40-75 grams. Started on May 11. A whole bunch of symptoms that I thought was menopause almost immediately went away. Fatigue, stress, sleep issues, brain fog, etc. I have lost about 10 pounds. I feel better, I'm not hungry, I'm not craving. The other funny thing is, I used to get heartburn at night especially if I ate anything like bacon, sausage, hamburger, etc. Like, it would wake me up. Now I don't get that, or it is so very mild I hardly notice it.0
