I have anxiety/depression issues anyhow, but i did notice they worsened significantly for the 1st 4 weeks of going keto. Its still early days of course but i feel considerable improvements in my mood this past few days.

@DAM 5412 thanks! i have got and accepted your friend request. I love the support network we have here.

@Fvaisey...if it had been the me from 20+years ago before I dealt with the issues that made me a comfort eater then I would have said that you may have a point and that may well be true for a lot of people. Im happy to report that I truly havent had the need to turn to food to provide comfort for at least 16 years! I have been lucky enough to find a man who loves me unconditionally and who gives me all I need. Even falling for me when I was heavy and never saying a word about it apart from worrying about my health. And....he's my toyboy, lol.

I was on anti depressants for a long time, and used to feel that when I low carbed my depression was more pronounced. A few years ago I Googled around and seemed to find proof that corroborated my finding. This time round though I seem to be doing OK, I've been off anti depressants for 2 years, and thank God I'm not feeling those same depressive mindsets. So I empathise, and can't offer any additional help, apart from a hug. X
