Hi..
I am new to this group and have pcos .
I have normal fasting blood sugar I.e. 80 but have high fasting blood insulin I.e. 42.3

My cholesterol and triglycerides level are in normal range.

Do I suffer from diabetes and fatty liver?

You would have to know what your liver enzymes are to have any idea about fatty liver. That and an ultrasound was used to diagnose me. As far as diabetes, your fasting numbers don't sound bad to me. Have them check your a1c. That's the best indicator.

Dr. R. Kraft studied 15,000 people and showed that there are many undiagnosed prediabetics with high insulin and normal blood fasting glucose. Your results basically mean you should lay low on carbs, so that you could reduce your insulin.

Sounds like you may be insulin resistant. Read Dr. Jason Fung's work. Eat low-carb, high-fat. Consider intermittent fasting.

I have heard that IF leads to starvation mode, how far is it true?

Do you mean, you don't lies weight when doing IF? I lost 30lbs skipping breakfast, and eating my daily alloted calories from lunch to dinner.
