Let's do this one again. I borrowed it from POPSUGAR.

5 - 10 - 15 -- BODY-WEIGHT EXERCISE WORKOUT

Repeat Entire Circuit Five (5) Times

5 Push-ups
10 Sit-ups
15 Squats

Rest For 10 Seconds

5 Jump Squats
10 Alternating Lunges
15 Reverse Crunches

I like this one. It's short and sweet!

Chris, Love it! And ONE set is even shorter & sweeter (tee hee). Thinking "ONE set" will get me started, then let's see if I don't keep going. (But shhh! Not going to tell myself about the other sets because sneaky works better sometimes.)

Whipped off most of one set while waiting for Joy to research an online order (and she actually was a joy so I answered their survey to reward her). Now I'm going to finish the ONE set.

I'll double pushups and substitute wall sits for jump squats. My spring has sprung so jump squats are a no-go. Nothing to do with their relationship to b@#$%^ - even lil ol' jumping jacks are nigh impossible now.

    Love you,
    Paula

Paula, sounds like a plan. Always go to modify and do an alternative than to say, I just can't do that workout.
Had trouble sleeping but will go to the gym before work and do Week 1, run 2 of my Couch2K program. Have a good Monday everyone.

Back from Destin! Had a wonderful trip and really enjoyed the beach. Beautiful white sand and turquoise water. My new profile picture was taken on Ron's birthday at dinner. We loved the restaurant...good food and beautiful view. Maybe I've had that attitude adjustment that I needed!

I plan to start this week's challenge tomorrow along with tennis practice...modifying as Paula is doing.

Shelley...wait...a...minute...jump squats are a piece of cake compared to b@#$%^s!! Just ask any of us! ;)

Paula I can't do reg JJs, either...must modify. I'm glad you like the workout. And ONE set works for me!! B)

Welcome back Kathy! Glad you enjoyed yourself. :)

Gang - Modify any challenge we put up there. You can only do what your body allows. No Damage Allowed!!! :s

Walked w/DDD this morning then got on the recumbent for S4E11 of Grimm...read, doped around...went to the gym for a 40 minute workout w/DDD and SIL. :p

I managed 6.46 miles for 14,107 steps; 12.0 miles on the recumbent and a 40 minute workout at the gym. I'm happy for today! Plus I'm down a pound! It's all good! :o

Hope everyone is having a great time! :p

Jump squats done at turbo speed are killers! Burpees have breaks. The plank position, lowering yourself into the pushup. Them jump squats kill my thighs, every one ends with you slapping them! :D

Clara great going. Keep us posted.

Kathy I love your dress! I love yellow on you. And it sounds like you had a great time. And are back with a new mind set!

Paula and Chris. You two are impossible. You know you love burpees and jumping Jack's.

Had to work late again. Got home and did a water change on the 65 gallon tank. We had biscuits and gravy for dinner. I have not had that in years! I need to get this work out done tomorrow. We are going to start stock piling some bags of concrete. I hope my new toy works good! Planning on doing an extension on the gazebos pad to allow us to move the new chairs in front of it. And a small sidewalk from the patio to it. I will let you know how many sacks it takes. We are going to start the prep work this weekend.

Now we know Shelley's secret. She's turbo-powered! How do you type a tongue-roll sound? pr.tr.tr.tr.tr.tr.tr.tr.tr.tr.tr....

Chris, We're impossible! And Shelley needs to learn how to spell b@#$%^&* - Shelley, just type a "b" then put one finger on the shift key, and slide another finger over the number keys. It's easy!

Did ONE set and then 10reps/ea curls, hammer curls & overhead extensions. My new knee did not like wall sits, will need a substitute substitute. Tried holding the cat apartment to do squats - not a good idea as it slid backwardsss oops! :noway: - fortunately the TRX is in the mail (thank you Joy) can't wait!

Kathy, I didn't realize how tall you were! You're really looking great! Very toned!! :smokin:

Clara, You're so right! Modify and conquer, that's my motto! (I hope you're feeling better.)

Tennis practice this evening for 90 minutes. Will complete the challenge tomorrow. After taking those 2 weeks off I really enjoyed being back out on the court. I could tell I had been away...had to soak in epsom salt tonight. :)

Paula - thanks for the "very toned" I'm not there yet but working on it. BTW I'm only 5'3". It's the dress.

Shelley - busy as usual...I don't know how you keep up with all your projects. :D

Chris - good challenge and I will modify...I hate lunges or should I say my knees hate lunges.

    Goodnight,
    Kathy

Kathy - my knees aren't real fond of lunges either. I am super careful doing them. I love your dress! Nice workout on the tennis court, too!

Paula - I don't think she knows she's not supposed to say THAT word!! Egads! My ears burn!!! I really like the TRX exercises. And then...OMG! turbo speed??? You have no idea what that does to my brain! :o

Shelley - how is the starfish? When do the seahorses arrive?

Walked w/Bean for a bit then by myself this morning then got on the recumbent. My knees are grousing...don't know if it's the recumbent...my flip flops...or going bare foot all day long. Then my hip is complaining, too. hmmm Maybe a need a new computer chair. That could mean shopping!

Walking w/DDD tomorrow morning then going w/her to her classroom to fix it up for the coming year. The kids will all show up next Wed. She starts back to work Monday the 10th.

Hope you all have a great Wednesday! Going to read now.

Kathy do you know that Epsom salt is good for plants also? B) So glad you are back on the court. Not sure how you can go on so many trips. We both keep very busy. 5'3" is almost my height. Only an inch taller. So we are close.

Paula thanks for the spelling lesson! Turbo power here we come. I did do a little of the workout. Let me know how you like your TRX. Chris loves hers.

Chris I must wait for the seahorses. They truly should be in a species only tank. So I have to wait to move all the rest out. The starfish is still chubby. Saw it climbing up the side of the tank tonight.

So spoke with Crashs vet tonight. He is diabetic. And had a urinary infection. And dropped over 3 pounds since his last weigh in. Went to pick up his insulin and the vet spaced calling it in. As bad luck would have it they were closed. :( Also started Timmy on meds for his arthritis. Two shots a week for 4 weeks and then once monthly. And the worse news. Cooper got out again. There was a huge thunderstorm tonight. All gates were closed. No idea how he got out. I am so bummed. We are looking into one of those collars that will track him down. Anyone ever use one or heard good things about any certain type? It was a crappy evening for me. If I had my seahorses I would be watching them. At least they will not be galloping off!

I left the gate open in case he comes home. Oh, he has a new collar. Has both our numbers on it this time, and on the back it says, Needs meds!

    Night all,
    Shelley

Derek & I carried very heavy (8x10) rugs and moved very heavy (solid wood) furniture after work. Twas 'nuf exercise for tonight. Was about to fall asleep but unfortunately woke up. Here's to hoping I get tired again in time to get some sleep before the alarm goes off. :drinker:

Kathy, I swear you look 5'7! I think Lynnette and Clara are medium/petite too. Chris, It sounds like you and I have the legs in this group.

Shelley, Let us know when Cooper comes home. Poor baby! Poor you!!

    Luv all,
    Paula

Shelly, hope Cooper comes home soon. I had to neuter my big dog and get him an electric fence to stop his wandering. He passed away several years ago but I still miss him.
Paula, I am usually the most petite in any group. 4 ft 11 with shoes on

Thanks guys. Clara he only leaves due to loud noises scaring him. Thunder, fireworks, those will do it. He just runs. He loses weight and his feet are generally cut up. I am so tired of it all. I just wish he would go hide under the bed! We thought the new wall and gates were working. They did for almost two years. :( Well must get to work.

Shelley did Cooper come home? That makes me so sad. I hope your other pets are going to be okay.

Paula why are you lugging big rugs around?

Shoot, even in grammar school I was always the tallest! DDD is taller than I am. I think I was the shrimp of our family...there were six of us kids...both parents were very tall.

Walked with DDD this morning then we went to her school and worked in her classroom. Now we go to the gym and meet up with our trainer.

Hope you all have a grand Thursday!

Paula do tell us. What were you doing? Rugs are heavy.

Clara I have decided that the best dogs wander, or run. That way when we do get them back they get extra loving! And we never forget them.

Well thanks to Facebook I have my Cooper back. My sarge Lisa helped find him. He was under a large truck in the next city over. The gals who posted it could not get close to him. He would run. So I took a chance and drove out there. It was him. He peeled off a layer of pad off his front foot. Ointment and bandaged. His right eye is now red where it should be white. A bump on his head and another 3 hours worth of grooming. Will keep an eye on the foot for infection. He got kisses from the lady who posted about him. Funny thing, she said she was afraid he belonged to an older person who did not use Facebook or have a cellphone! That is me!

We gave him tramadol for pain and he is sleeping like a puppy.

Thanks for all the well wishes.

Shelley, great news about Cooper! Hope he's doing even better today!

Yesterday was a rest day. Going to Zumba with my BFF today and tennis practice later if the rain holds off.

    Great Thursday!

Shelley I hope Cooper is doing well. I hope you are recovering. I can't even imagine the worry. Did you tell the lady that you weren't on Facebook and did not have a cell phone? Lisa gets a high-five too!

Walking w/DDD this morning then headed for her classroom again...then shop...then make soup. Back later.

Just wanted to wish Cooper a fast recovery. :*<3

It was a good day. 6.69 miles for 14,613 steps. Worked four hours in DDD's classroom. We'll be doing the same thing tomorrow except we'll also be entertaining DDD's best friend's baby boy. It'll be fun!

Hope everyone has a great Friday!

I will say ditto to Chris' good! It turns out it wasn't a Zumba class but hula hoop (2.5lb weighted hoop) belly dance along with a little Pilates. An hours class that I actually enjoyed once my body remembered how to hula hoop. :D After about 20 minutes I was sweating so much. My BFF and I paid $20 to go to unlimited classes for the remainder of the month. We're going to see how it goes then consider joining the gym. I think I will like the variety.

Chris - excellent steps. You've inspired me to order a Fitbit. I ordered the Fitbit Charge.

    Goodnight all.

Chris I did tell the lady, Jessica, I was that kind of person!

Thanks everyone. I do lose lots of sleep over my lost little guy. His foot was pretty icky. Put on new bandages and ointment. He is walking better. But will be sore for some time. I can't wait to get his new collar. It will be an added insurance to get him home quickly.

Kathy that sounds like an interesting class. I don't think I could hula hoop any more. That is awesome. And you let Chris motivate you into one of those fitbits!

Chris you are babysitting again. You are brave!

Well Paula I gave the little stinker a hug from you.

So glad Cooper is back and recovering. I've been thinking of getting a Fitbit too. Maybe for my birthday in Nov. Chris, you seem to get a lot out of yours. Kathy, let us know how it works for you.

Clara thanks. I bought some iodine and Epsom salt to soak his feet in. He has two feet that have torn pads! Letting them dry now. He really needs to hide under the bed, hop in the bathtub with Crash or just go under the stairs. :'( This running the streets is not healthy for him.

Chris I think we should get Cooper his own Fitbit.

Is there a James Bond GPS locator collar for Cooper? There should be! Shelley and friends driving around in their Astin Martin following the blips on the radar screen!! No escape for the elusive scared-out-of-his-wits Shih Tzu. :noway: ((poor sore baby))

Well the delivery men showed up early at 7:30 this morning! They were supposed to call a half-hour ahead to warn me but let me sleep in, bless their hearts. We're furnishing the house next door. But no rug-lugging today, they did all the heavy work. I'll have to hike again today instead.

Walked RT to the sheriff station and up and down the stairs a lot yesterday - enough to sleep well at night. Came home and crashed, and probably lost my MFP streak again for not logging on all day. :expressionless:

Better sign off before Maynard manages to write you something in feline. He can type b#$%^&!

If IRL is "in the real world" what does that make us? Fondly yours cyber-friends...

Paula I like your JB GPS locator collar suggestion. Shelley...you need to look into that immediately. Good idea! I'm in the middle of a story where they have put the GPS tracking devise under the guy's skin. They know where he is at all times...that kinda creeps me out...great story though.

Geez! 7:30 ringing the doorbell...really? Wonder if it give him bad karma because so many folks would be cursing him under their breaths or shaking their fist in the air and cursing him out loud. Hope the house is coming along nicely.

Shelley if Cooper had a Fitbit, would we have to double the steps cuz he has four legs? I bet we would. He would out walk all of us put together!!

Lucas was great for us yesterday. That kid is all smiles and giggles! He's just about 10 months and motors around in his walker like crazy.

Got the gym and my walking done so far. Going to the kids to go through books DDD wants to donate. Then I want to get on the bike for some GRIMM!!!

    I'll be back later.

No bike for me...yesterday I ended up with 2.75 miles and 6,000 steps. Today I have 7.00 miles and 13,839 steps. It was a good day.

    Have a great Sunday everyone!

Walked w/DDD this morning then we went to Costco. What an adventure!! Everything is so big! We ended up splitting everything! It was great fun. Everybody was just getting there as we were leaving!

Ended up with 6.88 miles for 15,028 steps.

Taking DH to the doc tomorrow. Don't know what's in store for the rest of the day.

    Have a great Sunday everyone!

Paula that is hilarious. He is getting better though. Funny how kits are always trying to help with our spelling.

Chris for sure! Times two for all his feet. Your story sounds great. I so do not go to costco.

Ok I just took a nap while typing. Going to bed now.
