Total 55/80. Didn't take into account I would be on call last week, which definitely impacted my walking. Oh well! 55 is better than 54! Maybe next month. Still have 2 days left...I'll shoot for 60 miles this month.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to walk during August. August has been a difficult, and another busy month for me, and I have definitely dropped the ball again both for the group and myself personally as far as walking and my fitness/ diet. I am sorry that I have not been here.

I have been able to fit in a bit of gardening here and there this month and hope to do a little more when we finally get some cooler temperatures, which probably won't happen till October... or so B) . I have done some outdoor walking with my brother whenever possible but have forgotten to record it here. I have been finding him indoor places to walk and do things like park far away from the store or wherever I take him. His ability to walk is definitely coming back but he has to continue to build back up his energy levels. We have also been focusing a lot on regaining his range of motion back in the shoulder.

My brother, who is still living with me while recovering, had shoulder surgery this month and the amount/ intensity of therapy, both outpatient and what I do at home with him, has increased while trying to get that range of motion in his shoulder back. I am also working on getting his apartment ready for when he is able to move back in the future and helping him as he slowly starts doing those things that he was not able to do because of the accident.

Again, thank you all for keeping the group going, and I am so proud of you all. As I quickly scrolled backwards in some of the pages of posts it was so awesome to see walkers who were new to the group this month, as well as those who have been so faithful to continue to walk together month after month. You all are awesome walkers!!

    Blessings and love,

This was my first month really active with this group and it sure helped motivate me to actually put my steps down on the board. So thanks everyone for the motivation to keep going
