My goals this week are:
1) gym every day
2) log daily
3) use day planner to stay on track
What a great mini goal! I'm going to think about it..0 -
Well back to the boards, yay. I have been slightly sliding here and there, but the fact I'm still here and mostly logging. I need to get back on logging on weekends, that is where my lax has been. I need to remember my medium term goal, which may be a little more than I can chew. The medium term goal is to have lost 30 pounds by the end of this show. That is now 3 months. I am down 8 so far, over two months. so 22 pounds to go. That is only 2 pounds a week but that is a harsh one, but maybe I need to remind myself of that goal to give myself a swift kick in the #(@() to get going again.
So to get myself back in the mood
1. Walk on my lunches or before I go home from work. (Or both)
2. LOG EVERYTHING even on weekends
3. Stop grazing craft service & and my home pantry. Chocolate & Licorice has been my enemy this week
4. Do C25k week 1, full half hour, at least once, or maybe twice.
5. Get up early to make sure dishes are done before going to work.
As for the mini goal, even as the weather gets worse I hope to be outside until it gets too bad. Other than that I hope to get a regime to use the dust collecting exercise equipment in the basement, treadmills and recumbent bike. Maybe break out the sweating to the oldies dvds.0 -
Ok, my goals:
1. Increase my water
2. Log everything everyday
3. Gym 3 times (got one in today)
4. Clean off my hope chest
5. Start sorting the huge, but clean, pile of my clothes that's on my bedroom floor. (I've brought boxes home from work to organize the chaos.)
As for dealing with fall weather, I love it. I spend more time outside in the fall than any other time of year. As soon as the temp gets comfortable I'll start walking before work on the days I don't go to the gym.
Have a great week everyone!0 -
Today was a good food day and i really wanted chocolate but didnt buy any. I had some popcorn tonight.
I have a meal plan for most of the rest of the week and i am logging! And i am so tired all the time!

Goals: 10,000+ steps every day, 30+ min on the elliptical every day, 24oz H2O x 5+ every day, complete MFP entries every day.
I had a gain this week, when I completely expected a loss, so trying hard to not slack off at all this week, even for the football games this weekend.0 -
So far this week.
1. Walk on my lunches or before I go home from work, yesterday I didn't walk on my lunch, but we did go for a mile walk last night. I did go for my walk today however.
2. LOG EVERYTHING even on weekends. I logged everything yesterday even the candy piece I grazed.
3. Stop grazing craft service & and my home pantry. Grazed a piece of candy at work, but logged it, and skipped dessert last night.
4. Do C25k week 1, full half hour, at least once, or maybe twice. Last night we did a walk, and I ran parts of it, but not officially the C25k
5. Get up early to make sure dishes are done before going to work. Yesterday I didn't but today I did, and even made it to work a bit early.0 -
Haven't met any of mine yet this week. I have been staying late at work and not following my planner well. But I'll be dog sitting for my sister so between her 2 and mine, I need to get home on time to get their separate walks in. But I am getting my 10,000 steps every day!
As for keeping active, I agree with headhunter, fall is a great time to be active outdoors.0 -
Took the jog for a walk... really, just a baby, a 6 month old lab, but, I was sooooo angry with him the WHOLE time for not listening, coming when called, sitting, etc.! I'm having a really hard time calming down...0

I can understand the frustration. But if you put in the time now to train it will be better. We didn't. We now have a non social 4 year old. He is a pest to walk and is going to be harder to train. But we want to include him in our family walks so we need to train, our fault for not doing it sooner.
Keep with it and good luck.0 -
I love garlic. The smell of it cooking gets my mouth watering more than anything else. Right now, I'm sitting in the cafe at work smelling the sinful aroma of garlic cooking. Unfortunately, I believe it's for the custom pasta bar that they have today... ***sigh*** almost end of my lunch thank goodness... Omg and a coworker just sat down with a plate of it... Gotta get out of here!!!0

Today is a Arg day for work food I guess. My work provides lunches, for me opting out I get cash in lieu which is a great motivator. However some days are more temping than others. As a note, during my pregnancy one of my cravings was Tempura Vegetables. I never gave in to that craving because I'm cheap and they aren't. Well Work has starting including sushi in their lunch rotation. Tons of tempura options, so tempting oh my. As I was leaving the table after I ate my lunch, I said I had better go before I"m tempted to graze a few pieces. My co worker then said, oh there is so much left, have some....I must have gave a look because she backed off and "or not".
Then an oreo cake showed up for craft service......now someone brought in crave cupcakes. I don't know if I'm that strong.

I couldnt imagine the pressure of working around food all day. Thankfully the food at my work is crappy so i dont get tempted often!
I am doing well this week except for getting my donations gathered, and my kid is making me nuts... He needs to go to school, thankfully thats tomorrow and hopefully i sleep better tonight.0 -

He's just a baby, they want to play. I have a puppy will turn 1 next month. Sometimes perfect others not so good. Have fun, they grow so fast. Gayle Minneapolis0 -
So i weigh in twice a week (breaking my daily habit) and i know i am so close to pushing through a barrier i have had so i am hoping!
I finally got to packing one bag of donations and now i am working on the second bag!
I have planned my meals and stayed within my calories mostly, i missed the water mark a bit this week but it wasnt the worst.
A few weeks ago i had posted a short term goal for some financial first aid, well it took awhile but i did achieve that goal now too! Its been a really hard week but a really productive one
On Monday it would be great if someone could open the weekly thread i wont be around until late
Mini challenge: fall is my favorite season too but it also means cold weather is coming and school is back for the kids, to keep up or get better is to keep supper a bit later, measure my daily water and keep walking as much as i can and to keep finding new ways to get things done
