I added rockclimbing to my workout routine. Now I do crossfit 3xweek and rockclimbing 1xweek. I'm really happy about this and I'm actually having a lot of fun doing it0

So lately I've really enjoyed that my uniform feels looser Not to the point of needing a smaller size, but the belt doesn't "catch" on my belly anymore haha. It can be nice to have something to mark progress other than the scale0

Today I went down a notch on my belt! Such a great feeling. I hope you all had a fantastic week!0

Went shopping at old navy on Saturday. I went to grab my regular sizes that fit last year and that I felt still fit me. When I tried them on they were huge on me! I grabbed a xxl tank top and had to go back and grab a large that fits nice and is slightly loose! I grabbed size 20 jeans and they fell off of me in the change room. Grabbed a 16 that fit like a glove... and I have to admit I looked hot! lol. I have never felt that way before. Was one of the best feelings and shopping experiences I have ever had. Looking forward to more of those.0

Well done, that's a huge loss0 -

On the weekend my husband really wanted a Harvey's burger (3$ promotion) and I stood in line and didn't get one. And then watched him eat it and declined a bite0

Today I was able to fit into a pair of UK size 12 work pants that I had bought ages ago without trying on first. When I got them home that day, I couldn't get them up over the tops of my thighs. I buried the bag and promptly forgot about them until recently finding them in the back of my wardrobe with the tags still attached. Good thing too- my usual work pants had turned to loose sacking around my behind and I had to get rid of them!0

That is great news!! I am hoping by the end of October that I can fit into a few of my smaller sizes just waiting for me in the guest bedroom closet!

I made No Bake cookies yesterday - the ones with cocoa, oatmeal, coconut, peanut butter and tons of sugar. My husband wanted something sweet to eat for the week. Typically, I will practically lick out the pan when I'm done making them. Although I was a little tempted, it wasn't too hard to resist and I stuck that pan under water giving me no further option of even a little taste. My change in diet (no sugar, no caffeine, no processed foods, no alcohol) makes those sweets much easier to resist these days!
So far so good on avoiding the actual cookies!0 -
Went down 5 lbs this week, super stoked. BUT its hard as hell to watch my friends drink and eat after we play sports

We're having a Halloween potluck at work tomorrow. I'm bringing something relatively healthy instead of my normal baked goods. I'm hoping there will be some yummy salads but plan to bring a back up lunch in case there's not enough healthy food to eat. I know one meal won't break my success, but I'm planning to have my "cheat meal" this weekend when the family meets for a birthday celebration.
Here's hoping I can resist the temptation of any sweets, chips and really fattening food at the potluck tomorrow!0 -
No caffeine, no sugar, no alcohol?! It would all be over for me, the minute I thought I couldn't have something. I'd obsess about it and then would eventually cave in and binge. I wont give up coffee, wine, cheese or chocolate ever and I still enjoy these in moderation. Its working for me this time- smarter substitutions and slashing my carb intake certainly helped. Pasta, rice, potatoes, bread, flour, cake ,cookies, crackers, crisps/chips... gone. All replaced with courgettes, eggplant, peppers, cauliflower, salads, light cracker bread, caramel flavoured rice cakes and squares of super-dark chocolate! Plus a little more movement. Walking more, an extra gym session and a sport I love makes it all very sustainable. I'm 20 pounds down since end of July, aiming for another 20 to hit my goal of 135 by next March.
My NSV this week- I went shopping for a winter coat today and everything was just too big and unflattering. Came home empty handed.0 -

It hasn't been easy. I was having wine and ice cream almost every night thinking I was fitting it into my allotted calories for the day but probably underestimating my portions. I had a health scare about a month and a half ago and I changed my diet to avoid having surgery. It's amazing how when you train yourself not to eat specific foods, they just don't taste as good as they used to! I do treat myself to a Starbucks pumpkin spice chai tea each week. The rest of the week I'm filling up on fruits and veggies, nuts, fresh eggs (we have our own hens), legumes, whole wheat bread or tortillas, yogurt and of course lots and lots of water.
I survived the potluck at work today...I estimate my meal was about 400 calories total (no dessert other than a couple slices of apple with a tsp or 2 of caramel sauce). I actually feel stuffed too!0 -
I have to go away for 3 days this weekend so I have managed to bank a few calories each day this week to use on the weekend.0
