Healthy for the holidays! (Weight loss challenge)

It is that time of year! The holidays are fast approaching and we all could use some extra motivation to get our healthy habits in line before all the temptations of holiday celebrations. Set a goal that works for you and weigh in weekly. If you have a weight from last week use it as your starting weight, otherwise just use your next weigh in. I am setting up the weigh ins for Friday but feel free to change it to any day you weigh in.

I am setting a weight loss goal but I am not really concerned if I hit the weight. I would like to do this challenge to hold myself accountable for eating well and staying focused. If I lose weight, GREAT. If I lose fat even better. I would love to see some inches come off and some muscle definition start showing (somewhere other than just my legs).

Bad weekend, good week food wise, not great exercise wise so I am okay with a maintain this week. My plan is to take picture this weekend and then again at the end of this challenge and see if I can see any changes.

Continuing my trend of maintaining. I am actually quite happy with this for this week. I have been struggling with finding time and motivation to exercise, have been lax in water consumption, and had a few extra indulgences this week. That just means if I can get myself to cooperate with what I know in my head and the stars align and I can open up a free hour to work out I can get my goal. Now it is just figuring out how to put all those pieces into place so i can make it happen.0 -
Seeing some nice losses from people, great job!
I find I have more success when I make short term goals for the week. My goals for the next week are:
-Log all my food
-70000+ steps (for the week) per fit bit
-Run 10 miles (total)
-At least 2 other workouts (or portions of workouts) that are NOT running.
Anyone else want to share your goals for next week?0 -

This is a great idea! The challenge I'm in on MFP ends this week so it'll be helpful to set goals. My goal is to get my 25,000 steps badge once next week and attend 1 yoga class at the YMCA.0 -
I have 2 goals for the upcoming week:
1) I am starting a new exercise program next week, in addition to what I currently do, so my goal around that will be to complete all planned workouts. They are already scheduled in my phone, so they will come up as reminders every day. And I bought new workout gear to keep up with the additional activity.
2) Drink my protein shakes for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. I don't have an issue with having breakfast during the week, but on the weekend, I tend to let that slide, so I have been working on it...it isn't coming naturally yet, so it is a continual goal...ha ha!0 -

This isn't an actual gain. I retain water like crazy and it can affect my weigh ins by as much as 4 lbs at a time. I was feeling heavy when I weighed myself, so I figured this would be the result.
I was pretty close on my goals for the week. I had my protein shakes on Saturday and Sunday. I only missed one workout this week, which was last night. My fiance was sick, so he wasn't able to pick up my daughter from dance. I had to use my workout time to get her. I didn't feel too bad about it though, I already had 2 hours of workouts in, so another half hour wasn't going to hinder me.0 -

Maintained once again. This was a surprise. I thought for sure I would be up. I survived 3 birthday celebrations and a retirement party without gaining. I will take that as a win. Also, I joined a gym which will help me be more accountable to working out.
