Calling all skinny fat chicks!

Options
Hey Ladies! I m new to this group and looking for some motivation/competition/support. In what you might call "skinny fat" right now and I'm sick of it. I have no problem getting up at 4:30 to go for a jog but can't seem to get an other workout routine that I'll keep for more than 2 weeks. Please friend me if you're like me and want to seriously tone up and need a little push to do it.

My stats:
27 YO
5'4"
SW: 160
CW: 130 (28% body fat - YIKES)
GW: 120 (20% or less body fat)

I'm one of those people who has had a plan to lose 5-10 for like five years but just can't seem to keep motivated because I keep thinking I'm really not that heavy (skinny-fat!). Now I've gone and gained another 5 lbs. so I really feel like I need the accountability part of it. Several of us have pretty similar goals and stats (I'm also a runner), so we should form a little on-going discussion on this thread, or start a new one? Maybe just share good recipes/ideas/workouts and report back to the group what we did that day to be on track (or off)? I know I could use the both the accountability of telling people as well as the support for when it gets hard.

Hi glad to see you all out here!! Weight wise I always feel that I don't need change , but mentally never feel that I've perfect body. Heavy mid section and growing age not helping either.
I was always 120-126 range and gained 10-12 lbs in last decade. I run half marathons but not very regular at routine exercise. Need to improve. Joined MFP two days ago and already saw what I was considering healthy diet , it was not really!!!
    Now motivated to follow this.

Love this thread! I've always felt like that "skinny-fat" girl...trying to constantly lose those pesky 5-10 lbs. Grrrrr.
Back on track now and determined to get down to my GW! It's so great to have support.

I'm loving this thread so far, let's hope the group can help me out of a rut... After getting married 5 years ago, I quickly gained 30 pounds. Granted I was underweight when I started out, but now I just feel unhealthy and sluggish and want to feel healthy again.

Definitely need some accountability here. Happy to have others with similar goals! Biggest hurdles-sweet tooth and too-large portions. Help me out, ladies:-) I'll be cheering you on, too!

I'm not unhealthy, my body proportion can actually handle this weight. You'd have to see me.

I'm in! I wouldn't say I'm skinny fat because I'm actually pretty fit and active but I'm definitely not at my ideal body weight.

I cycle 4x a week during warm weather (I'm from Toronto and it is freezing for 5 months every year) and weight lift 3x a week year round.
