Nothing new to add
I just shop every other day
There is a great fresh fish market here and I love fresh fish!
I have found that almost any fresh veggie that is good steamed will taste great skillet fried in a bit of coconut oil.
I have also added many new spices to the spice rack. That helps the flavor variety.
Great thread!0 -
I shop every couple days so no list want it get it. I go shopping in the city 100 miles away once a month. So try to get enough to last a couple weeks.
See you all lighter.0 -
I shop once per week, but since we get meat and eggs from the farm, and we are eating way less dairy, nuts, fruit and vegetables, my grocery list is short. My freezers are always full and I buy dry goods in bulk on sale.
Cheese
Cream
Butter
Brussels sprouts
other fresh veggies if needed, onions, celery, spinach
Bacon
Sometimes stevia
Sometimes shiritake noodles for me and rice noodles or bean thread for my daughter

Why low fat and fat free? Forgive me I'm new to this woe but I thought these things were higher in carbs and we need fat? My head spins sometimes with all the do's and don'ts lol0 -
I am going to the store today or tomorrow to get more food. My total shopping list consists of:
Ground beef 75/25 -- approx. 20 pounds
Beef Chuck roll -- approx. 20-25 pounds
Plain sparkling water
Coffee
This should last me about three weeks, more or less. When it starts getting low, I'll go out again. Right now I am down to 7 pounds of ground beef and 4 pounds of chuck roll. That's too low for me to make it a whole week, so I'm shopping this weekend.
Edit: If there's chicken, lamb, or some other meat on sale or that looks good, I might get that in addition to the above. The above list is my typical list. I don't get more than that. I spend very little time shopping for food. I do spend a fair amount of money (around $150) each time, but that lasts around three weeks.0 -

I'll only add things I didn't see on the above list: beef chorizo, turkey sausage, jello sugar free pudding (love this!), non sweetened ghiradelli chocolate bar, and experimenting with Splenda sugarless brown sugar (ok). Oh and tofu.0

I ended up with 43.17 pounds of beef (~19.6 kg) for $144.45 ($137.23 after my cash-back). That's like $3.35 a pound and I'll eat about 2 - 2.5 pounds a day. Call it 2.25 pounds, for averages sake. $7.54 a day or $52.76 a week on my food. It's not rice and beans cheap, but it's cheaper than a lot of people eat.0

I see all of our regulars above. We bulk buy our meat when it goes on sale (bone-in, skin-on thighs, boneless skinless thighs, ground beef, shrimp, and bacon primarily) and then manage to go a few weeks off of what is in our freezer and only need to replace the produce. We buy our vitamins and protein powder in large quantities as well and don't need to regularly replace them.
Butter
Table cream
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Lettuce
Avocado
Celery
Garlic
Mayo
Eggs
Zucchini
Sour Cream
Green Onions
