Hi, C25Kers!
Y'all still with me?
Today starts C25K, W3, D1 (Week 3, Day 1)
The following three "runs" this week entail the following:
Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then do two repetitions of the following:
•Jog 90 seconds
•Walk 90 seconds
•Jog 3 minutes
•Walk 3minutes
Cool down for 5 minutes.
I did W3, D1 today, and it was NOT easy! I was a bit tired when I went to the gym, which worked against me. I did finish this segment, and was never so grateful to hear "you're finished for today."
I walked at 2.8 mph and "wogged" (jogged at a little more than a walking pace - 3.0 miles per hour). I did this on a treadmill at an incline of 1.0.
The first few minutes always make me feel like I am going to drop dead; however, once I get past that point, my mind goes into a "zone," and it's not so bad.
Week 3, Day 2 will happen on Wednesday.
How are YOU doing?

Hey there! Way to hang in there! W3 is definitely more challenging than the previous weeks. By the end of W3 I could tell that I had improved, but this week I am repeating it so that I'll be prepared for W4! I just finished my second W3D2 and it was probably the best workout that I've had during C25K. I have been walking at 3.5 mph and am running at 5.2 mph. Sometimes I want to go back up to 5.5 mph, but right now 5.2 mph is definitely a better pace for me and I can tell that my breathing has improved. I am nervous to start W4 because it's such a jump, but I know that if I keep working out that I can get there! Good luck with your workout tomorrow!0

Wow, Loren, you run FAST! I would need an ambulance at 5.2 mph, for sure! I will be on W3D2 tomorrow..so we are almost at the same place!0

Well done all,I am trying to catch you up, It does look as though it is the same as England's running NHS program as I remember last time before I fell and was injured I was at week 3...doing 3mins. Anyway's I missed out the W1 D3 so tomorrow I will be at W2 D2 and see how I feel if I can miss another day to catch up I will but not at the detriment of my health and ability...:) I am afraid I don't know exactly my speed other than guestimates of how fast I think I am, I did used to take my phone and do my fitness pal, though don't like carrying my phone around.0

Di, soooo glad to have you here! Don't stress yourself out trying to catch up. That's why I post each day of the program. You can click on Day 1 of any of the weeks and see the schedule for that week! Little by little, it gets easier. Go slow, enjoy it, watch your body get stronger!0 -

I'll be doing this on Monday.
Is it 3 rounds of that plan altogether or just two in total?0 -

Yay, Diantha!
Yep, I did W3 D1 this morning just fine.
I've been doing two days C25K and one 5k parkrun walk/run on a Saturday for the past two weeks, and loving it.
Thinking I might do W3 D2 on Wednesday, parkrun on Saturday, and skip to W4 D1 next Monday.0
