Hi, C25Kers:

How is everyone in the trenches doing today? I don't know where you all are from, but I am in the Northeast, and let me tell you that it has been 30 degrees these past couple of mornings! Ugggh...I am not ready for winter and all that it brings. Not yet!!!

Today starts C25K, W4, D1 (Week 4, Day 1). The workout is getting a bit more strenuous. I must admit that just looking at this week's challenge has me tinkling in my shorts a bit ;(

It is as follows:
    Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then:
  • Jog 3 minutes
  • Walk 90 seconds
  • Jog 5 minutes
  • Walk 2-1/2 minutes
  • Jog 3 minutes
  • Walk 90 seconds
  • Jog 5 minutes

    Cool down for 5 minutes.
You are DONE!

I will check back to let you know how it went, provided I live through it! ;) Please let us know how you fare as well!

Let's have a GREAT week!

Dee :)

I did W4D1 today! I'm traveling for work right now and wasn't feeling great after my flight, but knew that I needed to workout anyway. Today's workout was pretty tough. I usually run at 5.2 mph, but for the last stretch of 5 minutes I went down to 4.5 mph. I'm glad that I repeated W3, because the jump to 5 minutes was kind of rough. I feel absolutely fantastic now that I've finished! I plan to repeat W4 so that I can improve running for 5 minutes straight. Good luck, everyone!

    I did W4D1 today!

Outstanding, Loren! I did it too. In order to achieve it, I had to walk at 2.5 and "run" at 3.0. Just glad to have gotten through it. Probably shouldn't have pushed this foot yet, and I will probably pay later on tonight, but I AM GLAD WE DID IT!

You've got this, Di! Change your mindset. Imagine what you are going to feel like when you finish Week 4 -- Wonderful, that's how you'll feel! :)

I improved my parkrun (5km walk/run) personal best by a minute this morning. :) Will tackle Week 4 Day 1 of C25K on Monday.

And I'm now in the Healthy BMI range! I certainly feel healthy!

Finally did Week 4 Day 1!

I somehow managed it without getting too puffed out! How did that happen?

I did have a sore hip while running, but that cleared up with just 2 paracetamol afterwards. Will keep an eye on it though.

and my intention is to remove the first 4 weeks to give me room to put the others on as I hope (touch wood) that I never need to go back to them, my intention now is run fully always once the 9 weeks is up and perhaps do a couple of charity events next summer!! :) now there is a challenge :)
