    Successes/Struggles: I'm under 300lbs!!! I thought it might happen this weigh-in and I had trouble sleeping last night (yes, that's why I'm posting this at 5:00 am). But since I'm up I'm going to go to the gym. It was a good week, though I'm still struggling with the negative voices in my head.

    Way to go! So happy for you! This inspires me to work harder.

    Successes/Struggles: My success for this week was helping my cousin join the gym with me. He's approximately 400 lbs and I know it took a lot for him to be there with me. I understood the insecurities and physical pain he felt being there. My struggle for the week was probably actually regarding the same thing. I felt as though I had to put the intensity of my workouts on the back burner so that I could hold his hand during the initial stages. Probably because I know I would have felt better if someone was there comforting me during the beginning as well. This made my soul feel good but at the same time I felt as if I was putting myself and my goals on the back burner.

    Aww thank you thats such a nice thing to say. Yeah so many people ask for help and I know you just can't help those who aren't willing to do the hard yards themselves. Maybe once I'm at a maintenance level I'll be able to put in time and commitment to actually help others.

    Struggles or successes of your week:
    I've been very anxious to weigh in recently, and actually weighed a few times this week. I don't know why I'm obsessing over the scale so much.

    My wife and I switched up our running routine after completing our 5K. We're now doing 3 runs per week consisting of a long run, a tempo run (target 5k pace), and an intervals run (¼ mile fast as possible, ¼ mile slow to recover; repeated 3 times). I'm very sore from this.

    Still haven't managed to start my strength training, and that has been on the to-do pile for a while... But all the ground work has been laid.

    Cycling - 0.0 miles (75 Miles)
    Jogging/Running - 14.2 miles (30 Miles)
    Hiking - 3.2 Miles & 780' elev. climb (15 Miles)

    Successes/Struggles; Successes for this week have been my fertility appointment finally progressing from me making it under the required BMI. The doctor was amazed and said she had never seen anyone so committed and determined. She just kept saying wow lol. That actually surprised me because I thought all women who struggled to have children would be giving it their all. Anyways my struggle of the week would be my emotions!!!     Successes/Struggles: It was a good week physically, but emotionally I struggled a lot with those voices in my head telling me I'm not doing enough and I'll never be able to do this so why bother. I held on and logged everything. I've also noticed that my energy level is up a bit this week. I'm doing more around the apartment and just walking more in general.

    Successes/Struggles: I missed 2 workouts last week and I'm still working on logging my food more consistently. I also went over my carb goals on Friday and Saturday. On a positive note, I really notice a difference in the way my clothes feel and I am up from 30 seconds to 1 minute in holding a plank. I'm looking forward to the week ahead. :)

    Struggles or successes of your week: My No sweets went ok. I ended up having some of the chocolate with the wrap lunch on Friday. Then throughout the weekend I had a couple aarowroot cookies and some not as healthy cereal mixed in with my usual one day. But over all went well. Sunday I did my CIBC Run(Walk) for the cure 5km. It was a lot of fun.

    It took me most of the week to get through the nasty lurgy, but a good weekend and Monday meant that my delayed weigh in was a happy one!

    Struggles or successes of your week:
    Pretty good week, my wife and I ran an entire 5K in St. Charles, MO on Sunday and finished in 36:13 minutes (11:40 min/mile). Was pleasantly surprised that we finished with an average pace ~1 minute faster than our normal pace for 1 mile; after some reading this is fairly common due to the additional motivation in a large group run.

    Really only lost ~2½ lbs this week, my last weigh in was ~1½ lbs less than I expected; I expected it to hit this week.

    No access to the pool at this time. I teach, so have to do a lot of walking at work... I log t least 7-8K on my fitbit every day, and around 5K on the weekends. That's all I can handle at this time. With the weight still pretty close to the 400s, I don't want to put any more stress on my joints... :-)

    I've been very anxious to weigh in recently, and actually weighed a few times this week. I don't know why I'm obsessing over the scale so much.

    Ran 4 miles with 800' elevation climb on Sunday and my wife pushed me on the speed faster than I should have let her; felt good during the run but was sore for days after (and believe I had water weight stored to help heal my legs too). Haven't run since due to stress at her work and mine, but need to get back into the running, and get my butt back on my bike too.

    Still haven't managed to start my strength training, and that has been on the to-do pile for a while... But all the ground work has been laid.

    You are doing so well! Keep your chin up. Loosing weight and changing our lives can be an emotional roller coaster so its natural for you to have those blue moments sometimes. Also, we're not stuffing the emotions down with food so some tears and bad moods may surface. It's ok to let yourself experience those feelings. Just stay the course no matter what and you will continue to be successful. I'm rooting for you!

    I feel this way sometimes too, even after a good loss. My only thought, for my own melancholy after a good weigh in, is maybe that I let myself get as big as I did to begin with if it's so easy to lose.

    This week is the first week I didn't eat out at all during the week. I took my lunch each day and on Friday we had a luncheon. I think this helped me loose a couple of pounds and helped my budget! I will try again next week and tomorrow begins my "no sweet November". ;)
