Due to a long commute and working a LOT of overtime, had been eating a lot of takeout. Since finding out I have cut out all the soda, fast food and trying to eat as healthy as possible

Dr says to expect to gain about 1lb a week from here on0 -

Is it weird to have lost a pound with no morning sickess? Maybe a difference in clothes/less bloating or water weight?

I'm 28 weeks and have gained 40 lbs (5'8", 190 lbs). I think the main reason was that I tend to eat a lot anyway but before I was pregnant I was doing a lot of weight training which kept me pretty fit. I'm trying to slow the weight gain now, but more for vanity than anything else. My doctor wasn't worried because I'm tall and weight distributed in my hips/butt/legs. Your doctor is the best reference.0

Ixeeta, well done on not gaining anything until 21 weeks. You're target weight gain is similar to mine (less if I can help it)
Sammy, I lost a couple of pounds in those early weeks too, without any sickness. Not sure why, but not complaining!

Freaking out a little bit as i'm up 3 lbs and still have three weeks to go until my 2nd trimester. It may just be water weight as I'm pretty bloated and constipated but I'm going to try and be more careful with my intake this week.0 -
Lisa, how often do you weigh yourself? I find my weight fluctuates a lot for the reasons you mention, so I prefer to check more often and take an average.0

@EmmaDetermined @lynn2064 Thank you! I weight my self every couple of days but only record one weekend weight. I was down 2lbs a few days ago so it is probably water weight, I try and drink more water and maybe take an average of the week.0

Lisa, I also feel bloated... and with my first I find I gained quickly but it slowed down eventually. I'm 9 weeks and gained 2 pounds. Not sure if it's water weight or not though...0

Unfortunately it's hard to cut carbs with nausea, at least for me... I'm doing a bit better! GL!!

HALFWAY!!!! 20 weeks Ok, technically halfway.....but since I always go almost two weeks over, I recon I am not halfway until next week. I still haven't gained any weight though, with my first I had gained 16 pounds at this stage - this time I have lost 4.5 so I count that as being over 20 pounds better off! The other day my maternity jeans were in the wash so I tried on my pre-pregnancy ones, and I had to put an elastic through the button hole to make space for the bump but there was more slack around the thighs than I remember! Little joys!
