I am proud of my accomplishments!

Walked w/DH this morning 4.10 miles in 95 mins (5.89 total miles for 12,858 steps) then got on the bike for 12.75 miles in 45 mins and an episode of Castle. It was a good Monday.

DH & I went furniture shopping. Lots of steps. No fitbit counting them. :frowning:

Good job, Chris. Saw your name on a biking challenge. Bet you're blowing them away.

Chris enjoy your kettlebell swings! B) looks like Paula sees you everywhere!

Paula what we're you shopping for? New reading recliner?

I should be receiving my new DVD' s today.

Hope everyone had a great Martin Luther King day yesterday. I cleaned, walked the boys, reviewed a dozen workout DVD' s. Went in the hot tub and shopping. Also got all my laundry done and ate out. Down 2 ounces this morning. It was a great day!

I workout because I love the feeling...?!?

Shelley...what did you get?? I like the reading recliner idea! I wonder if they have a Sleep Numbers Recliner?? That would be cool!

Clara I think you'll like your tracker. I have a Fitbit and love it!!

Shelley I ordered two KCM DVD this morning...Fitness Athletic Conditioning #2 and Fitness, Strength and Stamina. Should get them Thursday!

Rain was too much this morning. Got on the bike though. Now the rain has stopped but I'm on my way to 1st grade. Maybe I'll get some steps in this afternoon. I'll be back later.

Sorry...Paula what did you get??? Repeating...I like the reading recliner idea! I wonder if they have a Sleep Numbers Recliner?? That would be cool!

I went to 1st grade to help my DDD with her class. I do the really hard stuff like...hand out papers and sharpen pencils. She, on the other hand, teaches them to read and write. It's really amazing to watch her with 29 six year old kids!

45 mins on the bike for 12.75 miles and some Castle.

Chris I knew who you meant! :D It is so wonderful that you can spend so much time with your daughter! <3 And you must do all the exercises on your new selections and tell me about them. :drinker:

Clara it sounds fun! You will have to tell me all about it. B)

Kathy, here are some that you might enjoy.

Muscle Definition. This one has individual muscle mixes, chest 7 min., back 14 min., shoulder 10 min., legs 11 min., bicep 11 min., & triceps 15 min., there is an abdominals mix and two workouts using weights

Weights: another good dumbbell workout. Workout 1 is back, legs & chest. Workout 2 is biceps, triceps & shoulders. There is an ab workout and also a stretch.

Split Sessions: Great premixes, some are 10-16 minutes. No nonsense dumbbell workouts. Bonus has a little of every muscle group. Great DVD.

Body Shop: workout 1, loads of dumbbell work and some legs. Hips also. This is a great full body workout. Workout 2 works the back, shoulder, abs, inner legs & buttocks. There are some flexibility moves. I think you will love some of the premixes.

Body Training: there are some great floor work in this one. Workout 2 Pilates core, chest, shoulders, thighs & hips also triceps. Premixes with more floor with core, thighs & legs. Tough with very little cardio.

There are others. But this is a good start. Ask questions if needed.

    Good night everyone!

    Shelley B)

Feel free to add your opinions if you have these DVD' s. She is looking for weight lifting and not much cardio.

My heart  is getting the workout tonight. It's in Afib, first time in ages. I'll up my meds till it goes away. Tiring.

Saw the cutest little recliner and told Derek it'd be perfect in the library, but he's all "its too big blah blah blah" I'll work on him - we each get a chair. Mine is definitely going to lean back and put my feet up. We geniuses think alike!

That's what I have now. My Fitbit is somewhere in the Dominican Republic. I like the Garmin I just need to get more steps in daily.

Got to bicycle again today, finally no rain on our mid-week ride day. So nice to get out. So grateful to Carol for motivating me to do it. Reminds me of other friends who I adore.

There's a new LOTR challenge. Basically gives you points for exercise that exceeds daily routine. It's located at: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/111315-lotr-fellowship-of-the-ring-fitness-challenge

Michelle Wrangler is on the Hobbits Team. A lot of people from an old LOTR challenge are on the Wizards team.

It's seriously meant to challenge, and if you don't do your bit, it brings down the rest of the team. It's great motivation.

I signed up on the Free People of the World team, which means I get to watch.

    Just FYI.

Paula I will check it out. Thanks. <3 Riding a bike sounds fun. Glad you were able to get out. And I am sure you could tell hubby that if you had the right recliner your heart would slow down and relax. :*

Kathy I hope you like the Garmin more than your old fit bit! Kathy I checked out one that Chris mentioned earlier. Here you go, remember I may not call the exercises by the same name as Kelly.....

Muscle Up 2B Fit: Workout 1 Back, Chest & Shoulders: Warm-up, most of the following use dumbbells. Rows & presses, repeat x2, 1 arm row, both arms & flys, repeat x2, skull crushers & pushups, repeat, overhead presses & abs, repeat, lateral raises & toe reaches repeat, bent over lateral raises & superman on bench repeat. Finish with cool down. Workout 2 is focused on legs/flutes & arms. Loads of premises and two are only 20 minutes. Also a tough abs workout.

It has lots of dumbbells also. o:)

Ok had to work late the last two days. One more. Tonight DH did a stretch workout with me tonight. I was watching him out of the side of my eyes. We were doing a quad stretch. Standing on one leg while holding the other by the foot behind you. I thought he was doing so great. Then I noticed he was holding onto the ceiling! Muahaha

    Night all,

    Paula, I'm thinking about it.

Walked w/DH and Bean 7.34 total miles for 16,029 steps, 12.75 recumbent miles in 45 mins and an episode of Castle, and 60 mins at the gym w/DDD and our trainer for a killer workout. A good Wednesday!

Sorry I've been away for a couple of days. I had to work late for a presentation I had to give yesterday. Glad it's finally over! :)

Shelley, I've reviewed some of the DVDs and made a few decisions. I ordered 3 KCMs:
    Muscle Definition,
    Weights Workout
    Circuit Burn

They are all 30 minute workouts, or two 30 minute workouts with some cardio, some ab work and all use weights. I'm going to take your advice Shelley and get a couple of heavier weights...at least 7-8lbs. I'll start with these. :D

I really need to get off my butt and get moving. I've been really lazy and sort of down and a little depressed. The funk must end!

    Thank for the suggestions!

Kathy great choices! And here is a kick to get you off your butt and moving. BOOM....... Hope that kick helps! So let me know when you get them and we can do the same workout together for fun. Your choice! :drinker: I can not remember if you have any others of hers?

Glad you are done with your presentation. I bet you are a great speaker.

I'll do whichever KCM you guys do...that would be a blast to know you were doing it too!

Walked w/DH and Bean for 4.25 miles in 105 mins (7.03 total miles for 15,343 steps) then went to 1st grade then shopped then got on the recumbent for 12.75 miles in 46 mins then did a 2-minute plank for a challenge outside of MFP, now it's time for some assisted pull ups so our trainer stays happy!. A good Thursday!

Hope everyone is having fun. To the garage with me!

You are on Chris! Since Kathy has at least 3 now I am betting we all have at least one of them. Which do you and Paula have that Kathy does? I have all 3, since I suggested them. Muahaha

I did do triceps and biceps tonight on muscle definition. Then did 10 minute stretch. Today I managed to get 70 minutes of hallway walking in. Eating was good.

Paula thanks again for putting up that picture of a White Tail Bristletooth Tang. I received a notification today while checking my email that a small one was available at Blue Zoo. I was able to snag it. Within 15 minutes the small ones were sold out. Lucky I was checking my emails at that precise moment. Should be here Saturday. They ship out Friday night.

Train like a contender, Body Shop, and Muscle Up (thanks Chris  ) so different, but doesn't matter. We can all just do a KCM?

I added one more KCM - 30 minutes to Fitness Start Here. Sounds like I may start with that one.

BTW - I'm not Catholic but I usually do something with my BFF for Lent. Since I'm having issues with exercising that will definitely be on my list. I usually add something and give up something. Still working on my decisions.

Thanks again Shelley and I accept the kick in the butt as I know it's given with love! ;)

    Good thinking, Kathy!

Even tho this is my official REST DAY...I'll do Start Here. There's a note on the back that it is good for rest days!! I'm also entertaining a walk this afternoon. I need more miles since we didn't walk on Monday...it is raining this morning.

I'm in a plank challenge and have to plank for 150 seconds today. I also need to do 40 assisted pull ups if my arms aren't too sore. We'll see how this afternoon goes. I still have 1st grade to go to.

    I'll be back...Have a wonderful Friday!!

This is going to be so fun. I do not have the Start Here one. I have the 3 you mentioned Paula. We should def. say which we did and what we thought about it.

My fish should be here tomorrow. I might name it "Kelly". Have to see how it does.

Chris take it easy. I love those plank challenges. :drinker:

I might be to busy with the new fish to work out tomorrow. I am so excited. And a bit nervous. Never spent this much on one fish before. A puppy or kitten yes. But never a fish. Most fish can live as long as cats though. My clowns are probably around 3.5 - 4 years old now. I have had them 3 years at least.

Not sure what I will be doing tonight. Might just do some free weights. My mind is really geared up.

My Garmin tracker was uncomfortable so I've brought it back. I thought I needed something with an inactivity alert, but it seems I move more than I thought during the workday. Thinking about getting a smaller tracker that clips on like a Fitbit One or a Jawbone Up. I'll research and then decide. Have been doing better with calories now that husband's back in town. He was gone and his mother was not doing well. The hospice nurse said she could come back or it could be the slide to the end. Very stressful. But they increased her oxygen and today she was feeling better. So that's good. Got to the gym today.
You all have inspired me to buy some KCM. I had been looking but hadn't decided what to get. Now that I've read your choices, I have some ideas. Thanks!

Clara I hope that she is comfortable. Hugs to you.

Let me know which fit bit you end up choosing. I am still considering one.

If you would like I can look through mine if you are looking for a certain type of workout. Unless you were also looking for dumbbell workouts.

I made today a total rest day. So looks like tomorrow will be a workout day.

Clara, I hope your MIL is better. I have the Fitbit One and love it. I clip it in the middle of my bra that way I don't have to worry about leaving it in my jeans pocket or workout or walking pants pockets.

Shelley, have fun with your fish! Clowns and all!

I did Start Here...the cardio workout...I've never done it before...at least I don't remember doing it...bwahahahaha! It had me glistening and wanting to trade in the 5 pound weights (which Kelly said was the heaviest we should use) for my 3 pounders, but I didn't. Tomorrow I'll attempt the strength workout. I also got 8.09 miles for 15,715 steps...part of it was done jogging in the house because of rain outside the house! Plus, I did a 150 second plank and 40 assisted pull ups - in 4 groups of 10. So much for my REST DAY! I'm going to read now!
