Monthly cycle for 1st time in 1.5 years - WUT?!

Sorry guys for the TMI firstly. But ladies, I totally understand now the plight while on the monthly cycle now. I have PCOS and haven't had a cycle in over 1.5 years - holy cow, I'm gonna take it as a good sign of bettering health but also understanding how my emotional eating is heavily connected with my body's hormones! Also this week I didn't lose any weight and really failed at consistency with my meals due to feeling so crappy. I will work harder but I just had to say it outloud (although online) for once.

Excellent. Well not that you feel poorly but that things are normalizing. really great. I found my cycles became more regular on this woe too, with slightly improved pms. I hope it is better next time.0

I have PCOS, too. The changes in diet have resulted in having actual PMS now, which is a new one for me. I had managed to get my cycles going again with the help of inositol, but it barely qualified. My diet actually made things work more like they're supposed to, but it's a rough adjustment as the pendulum swings toward the extreme in the other direction.
It gets better with time, but it can be rough for a while. Just stick to it the best you can, make sure you're getting all your nutrients (it might be useful to supplement magnesium and possibly even sodium during the rough times), enough water, fat, and food in general.0 -
I could not ovulate on metformin and clomid. Once I dropped my carbs to a keto level, I ovulate every month.0

This is great news, despite feeling poorly! Getting back into a normal rhythm is huge!!
Even on LCHF the time of the month (Tom) can be tough to endure. Keeping LCHF friendly foods around is a must! Hiding any carb heavy foods can help too! I find that I can't hear them when they're in the pantry, but when out on the counter it's like a heavy metal concert going on in my head! Planning for the Tom is very important too. Expect it.0
