Hi... Been on 5.2 for 3 years so I'm no stranger to fasting.. However I've only ever used it to maintain my weight & now I'm looking to lose a final 14-21lbs it doesn't seem to be happening as I've got so used to eating what I like on NFDs & the thought of having to calorie count again every day is depressing!! Does anyone calorie count here on NFDs?? I tried ADF for a couple of weeks after new year but made no difference to the scales ..

I don't count every day. But I do count cals on nfd regularly. If I don't. ..I tend to eat too much. My maintenance cals before exercise are around 1600-1700....but I can eat 2500 easily. ..just keeps me honest and realistic

My sedentary TDEE is around 1800 & like you I can easily eat over 2500 especially if I have a few wines!!.. Suppose if I want to continue with 5.2 I should keep a track of calories... I did find earlier last year I was keeping a tally on my phone of a rough calorie count daily & was losing about 1lb a week most weeks.. I'm not a fan of logging every single item in here as its very time consuming weighing it all out but I do know most things calorie wise just by eye so I will go back to keeping a rough count on my phone..

    Maybe try 3:4?

I try to eat maintenance calories on NFDs. I also try to log every day, since that keeps me from mindlessly eating.

Tried ADF for a few weeks but no luck.. Not sure if my body is used to fasting after 3 years now because I should have had a definite calorie deficit whilst doing that..

I find tracking with the lose it app on my phone is easier than to track here. With lose it you can scan bar codes on products.
